It's a sign that somebody doesn't accept themselves the way they are naturally otherwise, there'd be no point in wearing it. It's basically a sign of insecurity, which shows that the person wearing it is trying to artificially look beautiful. If somebody can pretend to look a certain way, what's to stop them from pretending to be what they aren't? They can pretend to be a good and caring person, which won't be that hard because on the physical level they're already pretending to be more beautiful than they really are.

Unfortunately women are conditioned from a young age to wear makeup, so much so that some women even feel insecure going out without wearing it. Women's insecurities actually benefit cosmetics and fashion companies. And the thing is, makeup doesn't really hide much. All it does is tell me that there's basically another face hidden behind the mask of the person I'm talking to, which makes them inauthentic. A woman who doesn't wear makeup may look less attractive compared to other women, but atleast she's authentic, which actually makes her more attractive in a genuine way.

The irony is many women say they want a "real man", and yet they wear masks that artificially enhance how they look. Meaning they themselves aren't even real.
