I think it’s more the lifestyle that would make it appealing - like being able to afford vacations to other countries and whatever other luxuries you can think of. But still, I don’t personally find money to be that important when considering someone as a partner if they at least keep a steady income to support themselves.

I grew up with an affluent lifestyle and I only considered affluent men while I was dating so I could keep the same lifestyle I was always used to. So it definitely helps if you’re looking to date within a certain demographic.

Yes, But in certain ways. It won’t make the girl who thinks you’re ugly suddenly find you to be the hottest guy in your city, but it can put you in new rooms (exclusivity), it can alleviate plenty of issues (spending on a date can happen without issue), and you can change your appearance with it (clothing, or plastic surgery).

Different women will attract to different things; some will like the lifestyle of being rich, some will like the status, some will detest this altogether.

By most standards, I'm a rich man and single. Six figure income, net worth in the millions, I have no plausible way to spend all the money I earn.

Obviously it helps with hiring sex workers. It does no help at all with real relationships, because most women aren't that mercenary. A woman might spurn a man she was otherwise interested in if she finds out he's broke, but if she's decided she's not interested in a man, the revelation that he's worth millions won't change her mind. So not having money hurts, but having money doesn't really help. Yes and no. If a man doesn't project his wealth then he is no more attractive than other dude out there from a woman's perspective.

I know men who are worth hundreds of thousands and millions. They dress normal. Drive normal cars. Own decent home. And don't boast about their money (which is smart).

So merely being rich doesn't do much unless you project that wealth. The thing is that if you project your wealth, you'll end up attracting the type of women you don't need in your life. Most of which are extreme extractors.

If you come a across a lot of money, never ever lead with your wallet. Never tell women you do really well financially. Once you find a partner that loves and respects you for you, and she's worth settling down with. Then you share that information, and set your boundaries. But, It depends on the mans motivations.

If he understands and accepts that women only love him for his money, then he's free to spend how he likes as a means to impress and keep women around; no shame if he wants to proceed with sugarbaby, pay-to-play style relationships

If he understands and accepts that getting a woman to truly desires him in the way a man to be desired goes beyond money (but money is important), then chasing riches isn't the only thing he should be doing.

Mostly the lifestyle. Richer people who've put themselves in a good position also tend to have more free time. I barely even work anymore for example so I can choose to social a lot more than the average person throughout the week, and on top of that I can devote most of my time and energy to things I want to learn and the gym.

A side thing is being rich also means you can afford to get stuff done like hair transplants if things like that are hurting your ability to be happy with yourself.

I haven't heard of a man struggling to date with money in a few countries overseas. Common are Colombia, Philippines, Thailand. So yes, if you are struggling in the west, just leave, you won't struggle overseas generally.

Depends. If you're talking to a gold digger (or you're dating far down below your income), it'd be the latter.

The former is much more important to people who already have a financial background somewhat close to yours. This is also a much more likely scenario unless you are either an extreme outlier (i.e. even beyond the fabled "top 1%" people fixate on) or you explicitly seek out women who come from a much poorer background.

Being rich doesn’t automatically give you anything - just that it gives you tremendous social validation since you’ll have access to sports clubs, charities and social events.

Social validation leads to women and even other dudes generally being kind and open. This happens way more that you think across the world not just in your home country. You are raised to be kind and act a certain way when you are rich, maybe it’s good old conditioning at play and subconsciously people treat you a lot better.

As a brown guy, being rich also helps me avoid negative stereotypes that are generally associated with my race.

One can argue that a big part of what makes them rich - confidence, discipline, commanding respect, intelligence, strong work ethic, strategy, financial literacy, having a healthy and impressive social network - is also what made them attractive to women. Status is not something that comes cheap, it requires a lot of strategy and effort as well as social savvy on how to manage the politics of people with status. When everyone you know is influential and impressive, you need to make sure you make the right moves. It's a very delicate and highly political realm.

If you've ever met someone like a doctor who doesn't seem to have any immediate peers or colleagues as their friends, but they roll around with a very questionable groups of people, this is exactly what that means.

Status is earned, and its only done through nurturing your relationships. Amongst the rich, they do this by bartering their power and money with each other for the sake of getting richer and more powerful, but you can't negotiate any of that without social skills in the first place.

Women who are looking to date rich for the sake of status aren't going to date just anyone who's rich, she's going to date a rich guy with high levels of status. Women who are looking to date a rich guy because she just wants to be lavished with presents is likely to aim for a rich guy with low status, because he does not have the ability to nurture relationships with high value women if it doesn't involve a transaction.

Me personally, wealth on its own is not enough to attract me. Yes I am attracted to someone who can take care of themselves, like has their ducks in a row and is mature and responsible… but beyond that, other things are way more important to me than lots of money.

I grew up with money. My parents spoiled me, and while I did really enjoy those things, that’s not where my life has led me. I became interested in the character of a partner way more than their portfolio.

Depends on the kind of woman you want to attract. If you attract her with wealth and status, don't complain that is all she is attracted to.

Attracting with emotional connection, a lot of people say they want that from their partner, but are not capable of maintaining such a connection from their side. Hence it can fall apart.

Attracting solely on looks, will also fall apart when you loose your looks.

The most successful ones(in terms of longevity) are relationships based on practicality, I personally hate these the most.

In some cases yes but I dated someone who was likely beyond the top 1% and he ended up having other undesirable traits going on that I couldn’t see myself living with. For example he was a person who never took any risks including having one beer, then if I took a mild risk I’d be lectured. Also he was very religious (I was religious at the time and the amount of time he spent on it bothered me), then he wasn’t into fitness at all couldn’t even go on a light walk (1M) with me which is a deal breaker. He has definitely struggled in dating after me but he at least got his fitness together he is no longer chubby, I actually consider him attractive now but I could never get over the lecturing. I imagine other women felt the same.
