I found that when I was in Korea, it was a numbers game to a much greater extent than in the US because there were Korean girls that are just really into white guys. I didn't speak Korean so I would just cold approach in clubs with something retarded or just start dancing and would either be immediately blown out or the girl would be really into me without me doing anything (I'm decent looking but I think it was the blond hair and blue eyes).

Did you have a similar experience? Before you learned Japanese, what were some things you did to increase your success?

When I lived in Japan, I found most of the girls had a dark side, they could be catty, clingy, paranoid, and jealous. Because of that, I never really dated any of them. So what's the problem with J girls? I think they live on a different planet sometimes. It might be a byproduct of that weird cutesy loli cultural thing they're subjected to.

This is kind of a random question, but I've never been to Asia.

Do bars & clubs in Japan/Korea have all the same types of alcohol American ones have? And do bartenders know the same types of drinks, and know what they're called in English?

In other words, if I go up and ask for a Surfer on Acid, will the bartender know what I'm talking about?
