A significant portion of the "theories" and claims on this sub treat women or men like they are some giant collective hivemind all working together for a particular outcome, usually conspiring to "hurt" the chances of the other gender in dating or life.

This is delusional and completely disconnected with how real people behave in real life, and that's why most of theories on this sub end up sounding like something a NEET who's never left his basement in 10 years would say about things he's never actually experienced.

Most people are not living their life thinking about how they can improve the statistical odds for people of their own gender, or how their actions would imbalance society or a social system in their favor. Nobody thinks like that except a tiny minority of cringe weirdos.

Most people just want to get the best outcome they can for themselves and the people they care about in their lives. That's it. What they think is the best outcome is determined by a complex mix of their culture, their own ideas, their education, their upbringing, their morals, and the people they spend time with.

Normal women are not sitting around thinking of ways to hurt them and men are not sitting around thinking of ways to hurt women. The people on this sub need to stop pretending that they do.

As soon as someone says something cringe like "women think..." or "men act...", they're automatically wrong. "Women" don't do anything. "Men" don't think anything. It's a bunch of individuals acting in a wide range of different ways that coincide in their own interests and concerns and who don't spend even 30 seconds of their life thinking about "defending their gender" or "getting a better deal than the other gender".

Finally, genders are not religions. Genders are not nationalities. Genders are not cultures or ethnicity. Most people have a much stronger tie to these other things than their gender. For example Korean men care much more about the wellbeing of Korean women because they are all Koreans than some random guy in Brazil because they are both men. This final basic truth is what makes all these "gender as a hivemind collective" theories so unhinged and out of touch with reality.
