To be clear I mean mid-20s/past college aged**

The shame is on your ( the virgin ) 's end. If I were a woman and I'm talking to a mid 20s+ guy and he's a kissless virgin, that signals very clearly for one or several reasons, every girl in this guy's life has found him undesirable. This is perfectly reasonable discernment. Something about you has made every other women turn away or deny your pursuits up to that point. Clearly, there is an inward facing problem that I should be wary of or make me turn the other-way as-well. OR, you have chosen to not pursue any woman up till now, and that is similarly eyebrow raising.

There's obviously nuance here. If he's a virgin by choice and seems to otherwise be a desirable person that's different; of course girls who are more sexually promiscuous will still not see you as compatible. But it will make you desirable to girls who have similar values (if the men on this forum can fathom that there are such girls, hard sell, I know.)

For the most part it goes for girls as-well; anytime I see a girl my age who is a virgin not by choice I know in my head there is something wrong with her, somethings that every other guy who has known her has detected and made him not want to pursue her. In a way I imagine it would be a bigger red-flag, as women have a much easier time getting sex (though not pleasurable or mutually beneficial sex), so in most of those cases its probably a matter of wanting a sign of high-investment or commitment prior to the coital act, that men see you and don't want to put the effort in for. There's a reason for that as-well.
