When I first heard about this distinction, I didn't fully believe it. It sounded cool, but didn't fully hit me. Today, I keep seeing evidence of it in society.

It is real. Women want a provider husband at home who can take care of the bills and the kids at home, while having a boyfriend for sex. Women want someone who can support the lifestyle, the stability, while getting fucked by the alpha dudes. These alpha dudes want nothing to do with these women after sex, and that's where the provider is available to fall back on. The alpha guys get their pick of the litter.

Society conditions certain men to be providers, it puts down hard working dudes, telling them they aren't doing enough, while celebrating rap culture. So these guys work harder and try to please harder - this only ends up adding fuel to the fire. It makes logical sense - if woman is mad/upset/unhappy with me --> I must be not doing enough --> I need to please harder and provide harder. The more you provide, the more the woman will make you feel like you aren't providing enough. The provider keeps going more and more in the wrong direction.

We caught up to their BS. Guys, which strategy are you using - the lover or the provider?
