Clearly Feminists and TRP members both see extreme members and extreme behavior and generalize it to the entire community. /u/COPCO2 views indicate that kind of generalization of TRP which I disagree to.

The OP of the quoted post has a right to say what he wants but that doesn't mean the entire community accepts it. I and many TRPers on PPD walk away from this kind of misogyny. TRP is based on the core principals, which have many times been discussed here. They might be worded in a way an outsider finds offensive but the core is generally agreed upon at PPD.

Every so often, I read a Red Pill post that goes something like: “I’ve been a total asshole toward women and treated them like utter shit for the past six months, and like magic, they can’t seem to stop fucking me. The thing is, it's absolutely true that many men (me included, and also incl. the bad consciousness) do indeed have this experience with women. And it's simply not just something you can wave away as insignificant. Learning that a group of people prefer to be treated badly and that they react positively to it - in and outside the bedroom - is something which invariable are going to spread and colour ones perception of those same people in other aspects of life.

Even if we disregard the emotional impact it has on men, what are we to do with the observation that women react positively when we treat them like shit? Personally it has filled me with joy that coming to Asia i find that girls here do not seem to want to be treated like mud on your boots.

RP is not a homogeneous entity. There is no leadership or core dogma beyond the most basic principles (i.e. women like less invested men) and that covers a spectrum of perspectives from Mark Manson to Roosh. That's why RP declares itself morally agnostic. RP as a whole doesn't care if men get married or spin plates or swear off women, just that they start asserting themselves in relationships and have higher standards for themselves and others.

So I'm downvoting this as a hamhanded attempt at shaming by association.

One can criticize women, even be cynical about women, without descending in hatred. The word misogyny is rapidly becoming a lefty pejorative/term of abuse, like "racist" or "fascist".

The number of upvotes and comments doesn't really bother me. I consider anything below 80% on TRP to be panned.

The spirit of the post is "you don't have to justify your actions because women do bad shit to men too". Not the most eloquent or well-constructed argument. I wouldn't kill a "poisonous" snake (should be venomous snake) for being a snake. However, I get the spirit of the post.

I understand how the post would be taken negatively by outsiders, but that really doesn't bother me. I, as an individual, am under under no obligation to justify someone else's decisions. I might speak up if it stains TRP's image, if I cared enough about it, but I do not. We are already received negatively in the eyes of the mainstream, and nothing we do can ever change that, even if we completely roll over, supplicate, and clean up our image. If outsiders want to hate us then they'll find a way with or without our compliance. So what's the point? TRP isn't for them; it's for us.

My code of conduct for internal RP issues is to never ever throw another RP'er under the bus in front of outsiders. Any policing must be internal and behind closed doors. The reason: those against TRP, SJW's in particular, love the divide and conquer tactic. They love pitting one RP guy against another. Each blow we make to ourselves is a blow our detractors don't have to make, so that they can run off and sabotage something else. I'm not going to do their work for them.

Why does this mean RP members can't debate in "good conscience"? I'm unsure about the point you're trying to make. That post is pretty standard for TRP. I'm not necessarily excusing what was said in the post, and I don't agree with the content in said post, but if you come to PPD I assume you're familiar with TRP.

Most of them think they're helping, not harming. I would say most blue-pillers highly overestimate the "harm" TRP does. It certainly has many toxic elements, but in the end it's not making guys actually do anything particularly crazy that harms others. The people it actually (somewhat) harms are the subscribers and people who believe the crazy shit they say. And it's their choice. No one is making them believe it.

Anyone with any shred of rationality reads TRP, takes what they need, and moves on. Those that stay are too far gone to concern yourself with, let them burn themselves out. I've said this before and I will say it again, TRP is a reaction to women's behaviour. The fact is, these men were probably nice to women at some point, and they got frustrated. They were treated like shit, didn't get laid, and got overlooked in the sexual market. When they started treating women like shit, they started getting attention. I'm sorry, but you can't deny the fact that some (if not most) women are more attracted to men when those men treat them badly. I'v seen it in my life plenty of times. Women who don't even notice the guy whose shoulder they cry on when the guy she is in a relationship with broke up with them, despite the fact that that guy spent the entire length of their relationships calling them "ugly slut" more than their actual names.

I've got one for you, you are going to LOVE this. This one woman I knew was in a relationship with this guy. This was a really good guy at the time. Very smart, had a lot of aspirations, was in shape, cooked and had a promising career. He treated her like she was a princes. One day, she is talking to me and tells me that she cheated on her boyfriend. When I asked why, her response was "because I was drunk and had an opportunity to sleep with a really attractive guy. And, my boyfriend, although is equally as attractive, is not very good in bed. He didn't know how to getting me off, so I slept with someone who could" (her words exactly, I'll never forget them). Anyway her boyfriend found out, and he dumped her. After that it was obvious that after he dumped her, the guy changed the way he treated her. He continued to chill with our group which meant that he continued to chill with her. When we talked he would never say anything nice about her, even in a public setting. She disgusted him, and he made sure that everyone around her knew every dirty little secret she had. He embarrassed her in front of everyone and basically behaved like an vindictive asshole. As time went on, when we chilled without him, this girl would always talk about how she missed him and how she would do anything to have him back. She even told me that she told him that she would be ok with them just becoming fuck buddies. Apparently he took her up on her offer. He would call her when he was in between relationships and horny, and she would always answer, but he never changed how he treated her in public. This went on for 3 years, and throughout the 3 years this girl started talking about loving this guy. All he did was talk shit about her and fuck her, and even she admitted that he didn't get much better at sex and still couldn't get her off, except now he didn't seem to care whereas when they were together he did. For 3 years she would call to chill without him and spend nights talking about how much she loved him and how much she wants to be with him, and how great that night that they fucked was. We got so fucking sick of it, we stopped talking to her (a little too late if you ask me).

So there you have it, women can say that men who treat women badly disgust them but TRP is about reacting to women's behaviour. If a woman will cheat on you when you treat her like she is the love of your life and will love you when you treat her like she is a piece of shit, than men will treat women like they are pieces of shit. If women want men to not treat them that way, than stop rewarding that behaviour. Saying it isn't good enough, brainwashing men when they are young boys will not work, the only thing that will is how women behave. In the game of relationships, each gender has control over how the other gender should behave by rewarding attractive traits with what that gender wants.

Of course, I personally don't think that abusing anyone physically or emotionally is the right way to go. I would say that manipulation is fair game, and would happily argue that when used right, manipulation is neither physical nor emotional abuse. Women use manipulation all of the time to get what they want from men, so men should be able to use it for the same reason.
