This only applies to miss moral and not to any generic partner. After close to 8 years together if she asks for something simple she gets it no questions asked.

rambling raving rant warning

Maybe you all noticed that culture is dead, that the corporation and profit have replaced the populace and folk as the origin of customs and culture, and maybe you lament this, growing up in wastelands of meaningless consumption and all.

To that end the wife and I made up a few holidays that resonate with real things for real lives of the people we know, among these is Puff Day.

Puff Day celebrates the end of winter, especially in its lazy, loafing aspect. We cover the place in pillows and beanbags and people bring blunts, it's kind of like an opium den sorta vibe.

Twist is, only men have to do any work- making the food, rolling the blunts, dumping the ash trays, fetching and mixing drinks, whatever entertainment, whatever, women command and men obey.

This year will be our 7th Puff Party, and 3 times, I WAS THE ONLY MAN IN ATTENDANCE- men I invite just outright dismiss it generally and literally, inexplicably, astoundingly, call it gay, or other homophobic slurs.

Sometimes we get a straggler man or two who doesnt know what he is in for- in every single case in 7 years, such men refuse perfectly reasonable orders- they wont make a drink, they wont bring a menu or prepare any food order, they've never presented the sprinkle tray or fetched the fire wood/cared for the fire. They make the most HILARIOUS excuses. and then typically leave rather quickly.

Then, the hypocrites and losers come to the man-focvused parties, and they engage in no command at all- in fact, at the malecentric parties where it;s the ladies being ordered, the men are terrified to even ask for a plate of food. That rule just breaks down and is ignored by consensus immediately. Meanwhile, the ladies embellish, love, and get way into giving orders. They immediately get cruel, demeaning, objectifying, and laugh uproariously at all of it. Ass slaps, degrading nicknames, they roll with laughter and cheer each other on, instigate and amplify.

anyway all that to say, men have some fucking deep and insane and irrational issues with serving women. Every year is another episode of some turd making ludicrous excuses and every woman in attendance makes fun of him for the entire year about it, sometimes they make fun of him forever, just erase his name from the book of life and look right past him as a man and a person.

The dishes are piling up, kids are asking for help with homework and house is messy as hell. Doesn't matter, this is me time. Isn't it enough that I put bread on the table??

I mean in point of fact, we both work 40 hour weeks. But I make 10k more than her per year, and that makes me lord of the manor. The lord doesn't sully his hands with housework, that's what the peasantry is for. I give not so much as an inch of ground to all that feminist bullshit. I'm the man, and the man gets to relax when he's at home. After a long day of hunting mammoths and taking on the world, my woman needs to cater to me. Nuff said.

Depends on if I want a sandwich and if there's some sort of understanding that the sandwich making goes back and forth. Even if there is that understanding, I would not go right away. Women have a tendency to take advantage of complacent men, so, assuming I'm hungry, I'd wait like a half hour or an hour or something, then go and make myself the best damn sandwich ever. Mind you, I usually have some home made sourdough or brioche buns, white chedder/havarti, veggies and most times, I have leftover chicken, turkey, steak or some sort of meat or something from the previous day's dinner. Also, I'd make sure to put in that mango habanero sauce that I make almost every week, it's too hot for my GF, but damn does it have such amazing flavour,especially on chicken or turkey. Anyway, so I'd make my sandwich, and I'd make her the store bought "wonderbread", american cheese and cold cut sandwich.

If she complains that my sandwich looks better than hers, I'd tell her that if she doesn't like the sandwiches I make for her, that she should make her own sandwiches. Of course, if she wants a bite of my sandwich, she can have it, it's always amusing seeing her get up off of her chair and go to the sink to get a glass of water to deal with the heat of the sauce. Then while she's there getting a glass of water, I ask her to get me a beer while she's up.
