This reminds me of a conversation I had with a lvm "friend" a few months ago. He was whining about how all women in dating apps were shallow gold diggers and that no one was willing to give him a chance. I told him to apply his own advice.

If he was convinced that women on dating apps were looking down on him because he had a retail job then why not put more effort into pursuing women who also worked in retail? They'd have something in common. Maybe she also plans on eventually going back to school but even if she doesn't it shouldn't matter as long as she is supporting herself, right?

If he wanted someone who stood by him while he "worked on himself" then, hey, maybe he shouldn't be so critical of overweight women "catfishing" him with strategically posed pictures. She could work on herself, lose weight, and in about 2 years everything will be fine and dandy, right?

Of course he didn't take that well lol. He has standards. How dare I suggest that he lower standards. That is completely different than him wanting other women to lower their standards to accomodate him! /s

Lmao men really don’t understand match ups. The rating subs will show you that. Unattractive women are viewed as inhuman while men with absolutely NOTHING going for them still assume that they deserve a hot, financially stable, kind woman who will attend their every need. It’s literally insane. Women are “shallow” for having pretty much three standards: 1) not insane/misogynistic, 2) not broke enough to live with his parents, 3) taller than her. That’s like. The bare minimum, and it’s all most straight women (even the catches) ask for, but they still both about it and call women shallow for asking for that much.

I really wish man-dating women would go on strike until men shape up, really show them how good they had it then rip it away.

This reminds me so much of a dude I briefly interacted with before committing to my current partner. He was mid 30s, no career, lived with roommates, and had literally nothing to his name. No savings, no health insurance, no car, n o t h i n g. When I asked him what his long term plans were he said he was “attracted to smart, successful women” and I asked him what smart, successful woman would tie herself to a parasite and blocked him. The absolute nerve of these men is wild.
