I wish there was a women’s buddy program or something like a government social program where fellow women can be hired to come twice a week or whatever to come help a newly single mother with life. Like would we be more apt to leave hurtful relationships if we knew we would get the support we needed? I’ll totally show up at a random woman’s house and do her laundry and clean her house if it means she stays away from horrible men like this.

I'm in Canada and my city actually has a program like this that I used after I had my first daughter. Women volunteer to come help a few hours a week with the baby while mom relaxes, gets cleaning or dishes done that have piled up etc. I had a lovely older women who was incredibly kind and I valued her help so much as I was struggling so badly by myself with a newborn. They need more programs like this everywhere, being a new mom is hard enough especially doing it by yourself. I love seeing fellow women help others who are struggling, it's amazing.

Just like we take care of children in need of new homes and the government funds it (foster care) we should have a similar program for abused women and single mothers to get back on their feet with additional tax taken from men to fund this program, after all they are the perpetrators.

I work in construction, so I’m strong and physically scared of no man. I have gone to friends and changed locks, I’ve provided physical security to woman leaving high conflict controlling men.
We all have something we can offer to women in this and other situations.

Idk. Community care (ie new mother has multiple other women helping her after the birth/even helping raise the child in large community groups, vs the very western nuclear family unit ideas) and those communities still uphold and protect patriarchy, and arguably even more so in some ways than western cultures. So I’m skeptical that having more women around would mitigate this culture of encouraging rewarding and excusing LVM behavior

I hear you but I think the program would probably vet heavily vet women as well as do a lot of training for example the women’s abuse shelter that I volunteer at we had to do a $275 course they took about a week just to be trained on how to help and communicate to victims of domestic violence in a volunteer setting

In my experience working front-facing customer service men start being extra pervy when their wives are in the later stages of pregnancy, or after they've just given birth.
Maybe they feel inadequate at how strong and powerful their wives/girlfriends are, or maybe they're just pornsick freaks that can't hold it together.

My old coworker's husband did this. Well, me and my coworkers suspected that's why - they were buying a house and trying to get pregnant in the same year, and I guess that was too much for the poor man child (he was over 30 btw). He hid it for months and then didn't even tell her, he just said he did something bad and ran away from home. His parents pretty much had to kidnap him, bring him back home, and make him spit out the truth. She was all ready to leave up to 6 months later, then I heard from a friend a year and a half after she found out about the cheating, they were back together. Still don't have a kid and it's been a year since she got back with him. She's not far from 40 - she waited 4 years for him to propose, and threw away most of her child bearing years on a man child, and doesn't even have the family she wanted. I'm sure he'll cheat again when times get tough, just like the OP's POS husband will. Hopefully she divorces his ass ASAP before she talks herself into staying. Absolutely disgusting behavior. This is peak betrayal.

I was just speaking to my friend who is a family law attorney about this post and she mentioned that this situation is not a "speak now or forever hold you peace" sort of thing. She has had clients who are in the same boat who are smiling in the hub's face and making long term plans to divorce behind their back. If this woman didn't want to have a date in divorce court today, that's fine but she needs to know what her scrote-dumping timeline is and get as much out of him before D-Day.

The one woman who I know who utilized this strategy waited till her daughter was 5 to divorce. She had clued in her parents to what was really going on so when her dad retired they moved to a house 15 min from her by the time that the daughter was one. My friend lives in a popular retirement area, so the idea of the grandparents moving down didn't raise any suspicion with the XH. When the daughter was 2, she started a masters program at a local university, with mom there to pick up slack on childcare and housekeeping. Mom and daughter also kept notes on how uninvolved the father was, even when he was laid off and unemployed for six months! In three years my friend finished law school (where she developed a great support network of other single mother students), got a well paying job at a large firm and served her scrote papers right after she found out that she passed the bar!
The point it that some women need time to gather the resources and support system necessary to live their life as a single mother post-scrote. It would be great if more women would respond to such posts without this "now or never" attitude about moving on.

No one here is judging you if you personally wished to get out of doge immediately in such a situation.
Sometimes waiting until you have family nearby to help with childcare; the ability to earn a $100k+ income thereby not needing child support; and not having any student loans after going to grad school on your hub's GI bill trumps that 5 miserable years! (this was indeed the best situation for my friend given the cards she had on hand!)
Providing that there is no immediate danger of physical or emotional abuse, there is something to be said about a strategic and long term strategy for scrote dumping if it is right for the particular woman.

I think it is a lack of attention/loneliness and then this married scrote comes along and persues her hard (ie. love bombing). It is never these young women that "seduce" the married lvm, but the married lvm will typically love bomb the shit out of some vulnerable young woman desperate for attention. I tell women all the time if you’re going to stay with your husband after he cheats let him know he is free to cheat. It takes the fun out because for some reason a lot of men like the thrill of sneaking around to cheat and their SO not knowing. I’d tell him since he’s cheating he can get sex else where and no longer from me and that the relationship is now open. Watch the man’s reactions. I did this to an ex and he had a look of panick on his face. He couldn’t get the thought of another man having me out his head. I had to leave because he became so insecure.
