As someone from the dark side, I understand the lure of sites like OnlyFans. You want the male attention and you think you'll have control, but you don't (that's not how the internet works). I didn't do OnlyFans, but tried something one the same vein. I felt it was a was to remove all the faux romance and just take the guys' money, but it's still all performative and designed to best serve men. I'm sure if women could get a lot of money and fast like on OnlyFans without the sex, porn, danger they would. I really don't think the average person likes sex that much (well I can't imagine that people like sex that much) that they would choose to have sex with anyone or perform for anyone when they have other options.

I get that marriage isn't easy, but I think people are bored and miserable because they marry people they aren't compatible with and or decide to kids when they don't really want kids and keep going digging themselves into a deeper hole. First off, I feel horrible for her and her kids, and if we lived in a just society where women were truly equal to men, this would be laughed off as an awkward revelation about the couple and never discussed again— certainly not used as grounds to harass and bully them. I made a throwaway account to share this; but when I first turned 18 I thought OnlyFans would be empowering. Cue misogynistic assholes who demanded full-nudes when I specified I’d only be positing lingerie and underwear pics. Thank-God I never posted my face in pictures; and yet somehow, my school found out about the account. I recognised one of the commenting names, but I wasn’t sure why; so I brushed it off.

I tried to explain it was a way to boost my confidence and reclaim my body as my own; and also as a means of money so I could get away from my toxic home. They threatened to expel me unless I removed the account because it gave the school a bad reputation (public school)! I never had anything linking that account to my school, or to myself aside from my body. They called my mother and told her; the account was deleted, no where would hire me because of my lack of experience. Yeah, home life’s just peachy... not.

Oh, and that familiar name? I realised it was the same username my Math teacher used on Twitter. My own Math Teacher was calling me a dirty little slut, and demanding me to wear less.

I think it's a set up. Dad convinces Mom to do it, knowing Mom is going to get holy hell for it. Kids get kicked out of school due to Mom (although Dad was part and parcel in the entire thing). Yeah, I'm going to strongly disagree with this evaluation. If we just sat back and said this is the way the world is I would, no doubt be on the cotton field being regularly raped by various men on the plantation. The school was in the wrong and so were the father's. It's terrible that this family has to suffer the consequences of a puritanical group of people but that doesn't mean that the choice that they made to produce content for an adult only website is wrong. It's the, "letting the world dictate the rights and choices of consenting adults" for me.
