My first GF was Native American, then a blonde French woman, my first wife was very fair skinned (Swedish and Irish), my next GF was light skinned Italian, then a Samoan women, another blonde French woman, another light skinned Italian, a Filipino woman, then my second wife who was Mexican, then another Native American, an African American, and most recently another African American. I'm a black guy, in pretty good shape in, who is considered pretty good looking. When it comes to casual sex I don't discriminate. I've dated black, white, latino, chinese, Australian and Hawaiian women in the past. However in general I'm not really into to asian women. Black and white women seem to gravitate towards me and because I have a really outgoing, easily approachable personality I get hit on a decent amount by both. I think, for straight white men, it often comes from misplaced assumptions that women from other cultures will be "more wife-like" than American women (ie more submissive, more sexually available, more interested in marriage without option for divorce). For straight white women, i think it comes from this association that Exotic=Special, so having a foreign boyfriend makes them feel like they have a really unique partner that's more special than other people's. (All of these reasons are stupid, btw, and don't tend to result in a lot of mutual understanding with their partners... because they don't care about their personality, just their race.) I can only guess on other white people's motives; the lens through which people of color view the world has a lot of nuance I doubt I grok fully, as I haven't lived that experience.

Guys who are fit and successful competing for a chubby 5? Really guys? The thirst out there is real. It's a trope that men who date non-white women are looking for some "submissive geisha" but the reality is white women seem to loathe competition from their darker skinned, darker eyed, slimmer counterparts.

No, not that I can think of. Some gene pools do seem to sprout better looking people overall than others, but that’s an opinion. Genetically beautiful people come from all walks. I do get that this somehow offends people to have their race thought of as a fetish, and others seems to kind of dig it, whereas I’m of the “I don’t care” group. The way I see it, we all have our own individual preferences. We may not call them fetishes, but in the grand scheme of things they are kind of the same thing. I have a lot of things I like. No one is ever going to check every single box on that list, but whomever I wind up with is going to check a good number of those boxes. I can pass for Italian/Spanish/Middle Eastern esp. Persian/Latin American. A lot of people that meet me don't know what race/ethnicity I am right away.

1)not into casual sex, for LTR I tend to date light skinned people like myself. I am Christian and white people tend to be Christian more than any other race.

2) yes, it's not a big deal

3) just more cautious, I screen for values, I would say a lot middle eastern women are attracted to me but I just don't have that much in common with someone with different beliefs.

Just to give some background on my info I'm gay and white passing but haven't dated anyone or had any experience with anyone. For some reason I just find black men very attractive.... Especially black men with dreads. This is not to say I find every black man with dreads attractive but for some reason I think most black men look soooo handsome with dreads. I also do find Asian men more attractive. I just tend to look at men who are Asian and black more often then I do white men or latino men, but I still do find a lot of white and latino men attractive.

I think that "preferences" become an issue when you only go for certain men expecting them to fulfill some sexual stereotype like black men and BBC, or Asian men and submissiveness and dismissing them as anything else but that fantasy. I think there's also an issue when it becomes more of an exclusion then a preference and you say you'll never date or find anyone attractive outside of said racial group.

I do think that being a white passing male in the gay community gives me a leg up with being found attractive which I find saddening as there's attractive men of all races. Hopefully people will realize European features certainly aren't the only form of beauty out there, theres so many beautiful people out there !

Growing up I’d always imagine I’d end up with a white girl. Now I’m more open to being with girls of any race. These past few years I’ve been attracted to girls that are white, hispanic, mixed (asian and white), and Arab.
