There are exceptions to this rule, but few and far between.

Red pillers always like to toot their own horn about being or becoming high value men.

So let us describe a "high value man", or what CAN make a man "high value":

  • makes very good money (arbitrary)
  • fit (debatable, some think you can be a HVM without it)
  • status (either actual fame or amongs peers)
  • alpha (even though it means different things to different people)

Those are four things RP'rs usually mention when describing a "high value man". But now, let's look at some studies.

Happiness doesn't increase beyond a certain amount of money made, so the amount of women you could make "happier" in a relationship by having much more money, won't necessarily remove your other incompatibilities. And therefore won't magically make you a high value partner. It will definitely increase your value, but making you a "better partner" compared to someone that offers different qualities I'll mention later, that you perhaps can't/won't provide, would make you an inferior partner.

Fitness on the other hand boosts sex drive. I'm surprised this isn't an essential thing RP'rs would point to making someone a "HVM". How CAN one be a HVM without it? If your bedroom fun is good, it's MORE likely for things to turn out good in the relationship. It's not the SINGULAR thing that can make the relationship perfect, but it's significant.

I don't have specific studies for this one, but the internet is full of articles that point tons of celebrities and their cheating scandals. Especially male ones. We know that "men tend to be as loyal as their options", so when they're famous and have women who love them without them having to move a muscle, means they're more likely to give into that desire they tucked away because of the sheer amount of women throwing themselves at them. And we already know that the majority of people participate in monogamous relationships, and if the man is the one sneaking around with other women, their wives/gf's resent them for it, but might allow it because of cultural or insecurity reasons.

Alpha means nothing. In the end these are arbitrary things people use to describe themselves or others. Humans are very different compared to other animals, so the "alpha" thing isn't very relevant. I'd even argue that the most (self described) "alpha" guys tend to have THE MOST FRAGILE EGO'S AND MASCULINITY. A.k.a. automatically, ironically, making them not very "alpha".

Now, what are HIGH VALUE PARTNERS, or HVP? These are people that provide the most value as a partner in a relationship.

For example, let's use a monogamous, western relationship.

  • loyalty (not sleeping around with other women)
  • generosity (not being selfish, but rather being very considerate of your partner and their wants, and the will to make "sacrifices" for yourself to improve your partners life, even by small margines)
  • kindness (when women say they want a kind man, they mean they want someone polite and well mannered)
  • caring (of your partner's needs, and perhaps extending that to needs of their family and friends)
  • loving (showing public effection, showing off your partner as something of great value to you, instead of hiding them)
  • stability (mentally stable and mature enough to take care of adult issues, physically stable and living a healthy life, financially in a sense you can take care of yourself and being responsible with money)

These are just 6 things that can make you a very HVP. I'm not saying that if you don't possess one of these traits, you're automatically not a HVP. It depends on your partners needs and wants.
