Synopsis: There's a medical procedure called "calliagnosia" that causes you to stop perceiving physical beauty. The main charater is a girl who grew up going to a school where calliaganosia was mandatory, and she gets it reversed when she goes to college, thus perceiving beauty for the first time.

Being on this sub I constantly see how men basically have this narrative about being attractive means that you will be successfully no matter what, and being average and below means that all is doomed, poor baby you, you can't manipulate and abuse women (I'm not saying this without grounds, ive read so many of "muh duh he is attractive that's why it's okay that he is abuser, if he was average it wouldn't fly" like that's the goal.

Meanwhile that's how I see the reality a lot of times (not only about Slavic couples). So basically men who don't want to work on themselves are being resentful and bitter, which repells women even more, whining as if that will give them a girl on the dick, judging by the effort.

Women have some weird “type” that they will inevitably be attracted to. Guys will end up marrying the same “type” if they’re all only looks oriented narcissists (generally, blondes for some reason). I can’t tell if I’m neurodivergent & weird for being willing to date outside this type, unlike my brother & father, or if I’m “the normal one” because looks matter less to me. It’s also odd that I’m nearly 100% sure blonde women similar to my mother and my brother’s wife will always be attracted to me, even though I’m completely different from both of them in terms of personality.
