Whether you like it or not, approve of it or not; most guys care. A good chunk of women care. History isn't just history, it's hints for the future. If you're number 1 or 2, you're more likely to stay 1 or 2 than if you're 31 or 32. Exes are baggage and people are jealous creatures. This entire topic centers around mens fear of a woman their romantically interested in, having sex with someone with a bigger dick in her past. They lack confidence but they mask it with bullshit excuses like pair bonding and calling it an indicator for predicting future behavior when choosing their partners. Couple lack of confidence with the common misconception that a big dick automatically equals amazing sex and this is what we get.

On the Whatever podcast the host will often ask the women guests if they think sexual history matters and to no one's surprise they usually say no it should not. My favorite part is when the host later says something like "ok but what if a guy has a high bodycount but half of the people he slept with were other men" and the look on the womens faces is priceless. I strongly believe that the biggest reason men find high n count women to be off putting is because of the psychosexual dynamic between men and women. Generally, the woman is always on the more submissive side of the relationship be it subtly or obviously, whether it is women being always the little spoon, women getting approached, women desiring masculinity which comes with a flavor of dominance and leadership, to how most sexual positions and the whole sex is.

The way men perceive and internalize the existence of a high n count woman is that she was dominated by all of those men AKA "ran through" and so they lose respect for her because to men the biggest form of weakness is submission to another person. Hmm there is even more nuance here like the fact that men are highly competitive among one another and so seeing another man "owning" your wife is probably the biggest insult that there is. Why is that so? Because men often grow up in a specific environment where vulnerability and showing weakness is a sin and the only accepted outlet to do that is in the confines of a romantic relationship and so it holds a very special place in their hearts, and so a woman who's been with a lot of men and in that specific dynamic is a woman whom they deem "corrupted" as she is no longer worth opening up to because many men have been there and it no longer feels special.

There is even more and this isn't even 40% accurate.

Ultimately I think if you're disgusted by high n count women then some inner work is over due and then you'll see if you have some actual apprehension about the thing which you'd be free to enforce in your life.

Everyone’s focusing on women but what about men with high n count ! Admittedly it doesn’t bother me as much as it bothers men but I’ll pass on anything over 10. The logic is similar to why guys don’t want women with high n counts. Those guys want to sow their wild oats and it’s very unlikely you’ll be the one to lock him down. "N count doesn't matter" is bunk because there is a correlation between that and the likelihood of getting married, satisfaction within the marriage, and divorce rate. This applies to both genders.
