I think what's most interesting about this conversation is zero understanding how "high n counts" actually works.

Since "high n count" is never, ever, ever defined here, people make up wild and unhinged fantasies about how it happens.

It's never rooted in reality. It's all just made up boogeymen about women who have sex. Meanwhile, the rest of the sub is begging women to have sex with them on the first date.

The hypocrisy and the fantasies make for a fascinating peek into the minds of sexless scrooges.

I think a more realistic take on N-count is that people care about this for a variety of reasons - experience matchup, value matchup, religious reasons, or something else, and that is all fine. At the very least, N-count usually says something about how we view sex and relationships, and the ways in which a person values physical intimacy.

That all being said, N-count tends to be lower on the priority list for most people. If, hypothetically, you met a man/woman who was perfect for you in all ways, but their N-count was a few higher than what you would might normally go for, I think it’s safe to say most people would still be fine with this. This preference, like many others, has some flexibility in terms of what we will/won’t accept.

Now is some chaste church guy going to wife up a former escort? Absolutely not, because that drastic of a difference does indicate a rather large value mismatch.

But there are absolutely men whose tolerance for high-N in a woman is quite high. To say otherwise would mean all men have the same threshold for what is low/average/high, and we know this isn’t true. Even asking “What is a high N-count?” around the subreddit will yield a variety of answers.

Men who fuck a lot tend to pair up with women who are also unrestricted sociosexuality, and men who don’t also tend to pair up with women who are closed sociosexuality.

i forgot to mention, i have some basic charts that demonstrate that, at least on the ppd 2024 survey, women's perceived and self-reported dating success or ease of dating, was more heavily impacted by their bmi than their n-count. none of the high n (for the sake of simplicity let's call it 20+, high-mid n is 10-20, mid is 5-10, low-mid 3-5, low n 0-2, put your feelings aside please) women who were of a healthy bmi reported anything higher than a 3 on perceived dating struggles, most (nearly all) were at 1-2 for perceived dating issues, so very easy or pretty easy.

however, obese women with high n were way more likely to pick 3-4 for pretty hard. there was also one obese female adult virgin, cant remember what she picked on struggles question atm tho.

the only healthy weight women who picked a 4-5 for very/extremely hard mostly had an n count of less than 5. in fact all the women who picked 5 were not especially high n (maybe to you they are but compared to the really high numbers they dont look that high to me, comparatively speaking), mostly virgins up to ~5-ish.

what do you believe is the cause of this? it was such a staggering number of women agreeing dating wasnt difficult despite being high-n that they are probably not all lying or being duplicitous on the survey.

edit: id also like to know why you think women who struggle the most in dating, at least that is how they feel, are all virgins to low-mid n.

My personal definition includes any sexual act with a male. This includes both kissing and stuff like sitting on a guy's lap. Holding hands is worth 0.9N. Emotional intimacy without any physical interaction is 0.8N. Minus 0.1N for femboys. Having a crush is 0.5N.

Sex with another woman is 0.5N, kissing a woman in a nonsexual way is 0.3N. Actually maybe we should change these from N to W, keep in mind that 1N > 10000000W. The formula is getting a bit confusing though. If it's with her (younger) sister then it doesn't count as long as she's hot.

These are only the calculations for women. If I'm talking about men then holding hands is 0N and sex with other men is 1N, and making out is also 0.5N but you can't go above 1N without penetration.

oh i should probably post my data analysis from the ppd n-count survey huh. i still need to finish making the charts for Female N-Count Divided by BMI Class, but underweight women all have either 0 or 1, they have collectively less N than the most obese woman who responded to the survey. i am looking for any noticeable patterns in regard to male and female n-counts by various other factors, BMI, height, social class, education level were where i started. here's what i have made so far:

To be honest, I think lately that all the arguments related to n-count are related to different people's views without any secret speculation.

There are several types of people who care about n-count:

-TYPE 1: Hypocrites and sexists who judge others by standards that they themselves do not adhere to (this includes some redpillers and even incels who envy the sexual success of others and are focused only on sex);

-TYPE 2: Extremely monogamous people who consider intimacy and romance as special actions. They do not know how and / or cannot separate romance and sex and therefore are quite possessive of their partner.

-TYPE 3: People who feel insecure. They are also monogamous and focused on the same things as TYPE 2, but with an admixture of rational self-doubt and retroactive jealousy, but this can be corrected thanks to the efforts of themselves and their partner.

And the types of people who don't care about n-count:

-1 TYPE: Radical feminists who hate the entire male gender and take any thought about any interests of men aggressively. Often share their thoughts on social networks and the Internet, which leads to the creation of etochambers similar to incels and the cultivation of excessive unfounded hatred of men in them.

-2 TYPE: Men brought up in an extremely pro-feminist influence and desperately trying to "fit in" with the modern Western cultural agenda. They try to isolate themselves from other men as much as possible and always put women's problems above men's ("Yes, men have problems with ..., but what about women!?")

-3 TYPE: Hypersexual (and / or polyamorous) men and women who themselves have a rich life sexual experience and therefore are looking for a similar partner. Can separate love and sex.

-4 TYPE: People who are overly self-confident and are not looking for anything serious and therefore they do not care about their partner because they do not see a future with them.

This is probably all that I have seen in my life experience and on the Internet, but if you want to add, I would be glad.

N-Count: the number of people a person has had sex with (broad term, doesn't just have to be hetero PIV sex)

Now, let's further specify a sub classification of n-count, which is "d-count," and let's define that as well.

D-Count: the amount of dicks a person has been on the receiving end of (ultimately this means the amount of men you've slept with)

With these definitions in mind, now let's address some common discussion topics.

First and foremost, you'll notice that n-count and d-count are not the same. A straight man, for example, who's slept with 20 women will have an n-count = 20 while also having a d-count = 0

A straight woman who's slept with 20 men will also have an n-count = 20, while simultaneously also having a d-count = 20

What's the first thing you notice? Well, we have different numbers for what's supposedly the "sAmE AcTiOn" (sleeping with 20 ppl). The reason we have different numbers is because we are now being more accurate in our descriptions, and "sleeping with 20 ppl" we realize was much too broad of a phrase. With our improved clarity and more accurate formula to reflect the true reality, the math/numbers no longer line up.

Now, with this in mind, let's talk about preferences and hypocrisy for a second. Take the previous example of a man having an n=20 and d=0. This man, would be a hypocrite to reject someone (or frown upon the behavior of someone) who did the exact same thing he did and who has an n=20. After all, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. So if he met a nice lady who had n=20 and d=0, he shouldn't hold that against her (and I doubt he would). This hypothetical woman with n=20 and d=0 obviously has never taken a dick (d=0) just as he hasn't and has only slept with women (n=20) just the same as him. She lives up to the standard he holds for himself. A fine match. 👍

Now let's take this same hypothetical man with n=20 & d=0 and have him run into a woman with n=20 & d=20. These numbers are not the same. Of course, everyone is entitled to their preferences for any reason. But in this situation, this man would NOT ☝️ be a hypocrite for rejecting or judging this woman's behavior negatively because it's a standard he completely lives up to (not having a d-count). She failed to live up to the standards that he not only had for a partner, but that he himself truly lived and set the example for. No hypocrisy here, just a poor match between two ppl with different morals (one who rejects dick 🚫 and one who feverishly consumes it 🤤).

TLDR/Conclusions:

o Men can sleep around with women and frown upon women sleeping around with men ☝️ WHILE simultaneously not being a hypocrite

o D-count is a more accurate reflection of what a man takes issue with, let's start using this terminology on this sub to further specify

o Women with no or low d-counts should pair up with men who have no d-counts because their morals line up (regardless of n-counts)

Haha, so I just stumbled across this subreddit and thread and frankly I think y'all are kinda nuts. For starters, I'm a pretty normal looking American dude in my early 40s, never rich but usually not poor. I'm not sure of my "N-Count" but my best guess would be 28-30. I got laid for the first time when I was 18 to my girlfriend who I had been dating for close to a year at that point. I spent about 6 years in a monogamous relationship with my now ex-wife (I'm sure at one point I knew her "N-Count" but I have absolutely no recollection because I'd be more likely to remember literally any detail about her before that one).

Of the other 20-odd years when I wasn't married or a child I've had dry spells that lasted multiple years. And I've had stretches where I was literally chasing off hot Scandinavian chicks because I didn't have time or energy for them. I've been sexually frustrated and I've been sexually very fulfilled, but those periods definitely did not correlate perfectly with times I was or wasn't getting laid regularly. I've 'deflowered' 3 virgins (2 I knew at the time, one lied to me and I only found out years later), and on 2 other occasions limited myself to hand a mouth stuff because I didn't want to be their 'first time' (one of those two appreciated this, and one was annoyed by it). I've been with white, black, and Asian Americans, and with white, black and Asian non-Americans, and within those categories have been a broad diversity of ethnicities and national origins. Yet somehow I've never hooked up with a Latina chick, I don't know why not, I think they're hot, I speak half-decent Spanish, I've had lots of Hispanic-American and South American friends over the years, it's just never happened. Once I narrowly avoided being fired, arrested, and murdered because of my relationship with a woman whose hand I held a couple of times. I'd be willing to bet that the biggest chick I've been was bigger than the biggest chick you've been with, and I'll make the same bet for the smallest.

Those 28-30 individuals also represent a huge variety of relationship types. There have been a handful of truly one-off hookups with total strangers. There have been several super intense 5-night stands. There have been friends I fucked then stopped fucking but remained friends with, there have been strangers who became friends after fucking them, and there have been friendships ruined with sex. There have been lots of serious but temporary relationships that ended due to one party or the other moving on to pursue life, and there have been explosive breakups (you know who you are). I've cheated, but not a lot and not for long; I'm not aware of having ever been cheated on, but I probably have, statistically speaking.

What I've never really done is chased pussy. If we go on a date and you want something to happen you need to make it abundantly clear because I would much rather call you a cab than make you uncomfortable, or end a pleasant evening with a bad taste. I've hosted many dozens of young, unaccompanied, friendly, adventurous lady couch-surfers over the years and I've never touched or propositioned a single one of them, and I spent a hellish year madly in love with my roommate who I never told because I will not risk making a person uncomfortable where they sleep. I've ended many dates with a handshake where I've been 90% sure I could have taken her home because I wasn't that into it. Once I paid an escort over $1000 to go to an event with me, got her drunk, smoked her weed in my hotel room, then sent her on her way because my time was up. I've certainly never approached dating as a numbers game, but rather as a getting-to-know-interesting-people game. And I've met a metric fuck ton of interesting people. Sex has always been something that either happens or doesn't as a result of just living life.

And for that reason, if I met the age-appropriate woman of my dreams I would assume her number would be several times mine, like obviously triple digits, because if she's the woman of my dreams then she would have to have somewhat similar ideas to be about living life, putting yourself in interesting situations, and taking what comes. And if a person did that, and was also a stone cold fox (as my dream girl would obviously be), they would have to be actively turning away potentially amazing experiences for the sole purpose of keeping that number down, which is antithetical to any notion of a life well lived in my book.

That's not to say I wouldn't date a girl without a high number. If there's one thing I know for absolute certainty it's that good things come in all manner of packages, and I really don't care one iota how many people you've been with. It's just hard for me to imagine someone who had been with, say, low single digits partners also possessing traits I find appealing, but I'm willing to be surprised. By the same token, if you're turning down meaningful relationships in favor of running up your number I doubt we'd click.

So, do I wish that I had slept with 300 women instead of 30? Only if the quality of those interactions wasn't diminished. If you're asking if I could have had 10x the good times in life, of all sorts, then obviously the answer is yes. But would I trade any significant portion of the positive non-sex experiences I've had for way more sex? No, I don't think so.

In closing, my sex advice, for what little it's worth: just be a person, and be more interested in other people than you are in whether they will have sex with you. In fact, try to get as close as you can to someone you're attracted to without having sex with them; in my experience there's a really good chance you'll end up doing it anyway, and if you don't you still had a positive interaction with another human. It's chiche, but seriously, strive to under-promise and over-deliver. Make yourself interesting enough that someone can know you for years and still be discovering new things. I know that sounds hard, but the good news is that its a two-birds-one-stone type situation: the more interesting things you do the more interesting people you will meet, and the more interesting you will be when you meet them. Then, when you've met them, put your worst foot forward. Unless your worst foot is truly awful, like you're an asshole, or you stink, or you're obsessed with N-Counts. In that case first fix your worst foot before you subject anyone else to it, then go out there and put your new, not so bad, worst foot forward. Encourage people to reject you quickly for things that are important to you or that you can't or won't change, while simultaneously attracting that subset of the population that is actually into you.
