I think it's a reaction to the times when female sexuality was highly repressed, while male sexual expression was encouraged. However, I can't say from my experience that I've seen this double standard. It doesn't seem to me that most people talk so openly about their masturbation devices. I simply can't picture a conversation where me and my friends talk about sex dolls, dildos and encourage each other to use sex toys.

Women are extremely insecure and fear that they may be replaced by an inanimate object. You have to look at the issue with more compassion.

We as men are far superior and they know it. They also know that the main reason we would want anything to do with any of them is for sex, and if we can get our sexual gratification met elsewhere then there would be no need for them at all. Women are suffering an existential crisis and fear being replaced.

They don't understand that most men are compassionate beings who love women even with all their many, many flaws. We're not trying to replace them, we're simply saying 'come on, ladies, you can do better.'

Women need us though. They're lost without us, and, rather than extend the olive branch and try to make amends with men and apologise for all their shitty behaviour in recent years, they stick to the same old tactic that they've been using since time began: shaming.

We as men need to simply rise above this and ignore the haters. When we get our own house in order, the women will follow. It's their destiny.

I can't speak for all women but in my case, it has to do with rapid reload. When a guy (the ones I have known, at least) masturbates, he's "one and done." It's a "fair" standard due to societal thinking regarding men sexual partner numbers vs women sex partner numbers.

Women sleeping with many men are considered sluts, so society accepts more masturbation. Men with many sex partners are studs, so they shouldn't masturbate as much.
