As a society, we are lacking in our empathy for men when it comes dating and relationships. I don’t think it’s a surprise to anyone that women have better luck finding matches. Yes, it is true that many if not most of these matches are not appealing to these women. However, at the very least women get matches, whereas only the most attractive men get matches.

Here is where the empathy comes in: society will empathize with women who are mistreated or have to endure creepy messages (rightfully so), but there is little to no empathy for men who never get any matches or attention from women. Instead, men are told to just deal with it and move on. Perhaps the way society treats lonely men vs women helps to explain why so many guys decide to take extreme action and become violent
