Obviously, eliminating these things in a free society without doing more harm than good would be tricky. It would need to be a social and cultural movement, primarily enforced by social sanctions rather than by law.

There might be a time and place for 'dolling up', but it wouldn't be the workplace or doing your day-to-day business. Fashion could be reinvented to be convenient, comfortable and elegant, without focusing on being sexual or unnecessarily revealing. We shouldn't be so dogmatic that we become prudish: skin will need to be revealed when needed, like in very hot climates or when swimming. But even then, it can be done without trying to be sexy.

Of course things like skincare etc. can be done at home. And we can have haircuts. But we don't need expensive hair treatments, cuts or dyes. At work and in public, women can put their hair back like in the military. Men shouldn't have cuts that require gel and other products to maintain. Keep it simple but elegant.

All this focus on sexual attractiveness over sexualizes the public square. It costs money and time. And it is ultimately self-defeating as it is an arms race. If one woman or man uses makeup or sexy apparel to up their value, then others counter. You end up back where you started, but everyone is down money and time.
