As I'm late to that post about women wanting men at least on their level, I'll post it here.

Most people marry close to their financial level. A lot of men do care about their partner's income and career prospects or they start caring when they get into financial issues. Like these men who have a bunch of kids with a woman who doesn't have education or any work experience and then they suddenly learn that raising kids is expensive. Or men who loose their job or get health issues. Also women giving birth and being the ones who usually takes care of newborns have more insensitive to want a financially stable partner.

My husband and I have decided we aren't really against having kids, so we've got much looser with our contraception. If I get pregnant most likely I won't be able to work as much as I do during first few months as women in my family have terrible morning (all day) sickness. So we'll have to either spend our savings or live on his income alone. And the same can be said about first few months after giving birth. If he had much lower income, that would be an issue.

So overall it isn't about being turned off, it's about practical reasons and plans on the future.

I appreciate the multiple-political party system of my country but do we really need 30 candidates for this gubernatorial election? Because it looks like choice paralysis is real, and 25% of surveyed voters say they can’t decide.

Policy-wise I would love to vote for a liberal-center-left candidate. But to be practical, I am actually going to vote for a moderate candidate to prevent authoritarian-right candidates from winning. The poll says the moderate candidate is winning by a, well, moderate margin and I want it to remain that way.

Looks like my parents are voting for the same guy. They used to support a center-right party but after the party turned authoritarian, they no longer vote for it. My younger brother and his stb wife are still voting for a progressive candidate but I doubt they think he will win.

A lot of average frustrated chumps end up frustrated and feel lied to about what women find attractive because of the fact that women speak with far more subtext than men.

For instance, when a woman says "I like nerds!"

In her mind, the assumption that the guy is attractive, funny, and other positive traits is already there, whereas the nerdiness is just a plus

For the male mind, he will assume that she's saying that being a nerd is inherently attractive to her.

Or for instance, when she says that she likes when men buy her flowers or give her positive attention, she's under the assumption that she's already attracted to the guy and that the gesture is just the icing on the cake

But when the advice is delivered, the male mind will interpret this as the cake itself that will get her to be interested.

I know it sounds kind of autistic to think this, but it just makes so much shit make sense; even told this to some women I know * and they more or less have said I was spot-on
