Inspired by a comment from r/Cool_Relative7359, I would like to ask the men what your grandfathers told you about relationships, marriage and education. Many of us women have heard the same thing over and over again from our grandmothers and/or sometimes mothers.

"Make sure you have a good education and a good job and a good income, don't be dependent on a man."

Many older women with many children (I'm talking about 4+ children) also say they would never have had so many children if they had had a choice.Did your grandfathers tell you something similar?

Did your grandfathers always remind you how many more options you have these days and how much better everything is?
