Men who have been harshly rejected for things that are not their fault are gaslit into believing that we are at fault and that women are perfect and can commit no wrong toward men, and if it is, it’s justified.

Even if you feel that way, this is still true more than not:

A man saying he hates women because his grandmother and sisters sexually abused him throughout his childhood is more sympathetic than a man who says it because he was harshly rejected for things that are not their fault are gaslit into believing that we are at fault (aka because women didn’t date him.)

Someone’s autonomy being violated is going to garner more sympathy than someone who asked someone out and was turned down

Someone being bullied is going to be garner more sympathy than someone who asked someone out and was turned down.

However someone being turned down in a “ewww get away from me ugly” way is going to garner more sympathy than someone being turned down in a “no thank you” way. So yah. Your hypothetical guy gets relatively more sympathy in that versus.

Proof that you personally have it out for me. I don't give a shit if you dislike me. Treat me fairly (you clearly have not). There have been users personally attacking me and you have kept their comments up despite me reporting them. Biased and partial despite saying otherwise. And I did not attack anything, stop falsely accusing me of shit I didn't do.

The problem is that many women make the assumption that the man somehow deserved to be excoriated and/or embarrassed/insulted/mocked, and that somehow the woman being asked deserves sympathy from the "creepy" guy. This has lasting ramifications - a man was literally sent to prison because a woman falsely accused him of assault because he "looked" creepy.

If that’s the case then the title I pointed out earlier is definitely an example of misandry that we should care about. Because generalisations cause that kind of behaviour. If x assumes that married men hate their wives, the implication is quite strong that she would treat married men differently. To be fair, not all men are married, but this is quite a vast generalisation and the sort of thing that could cause the harm we’re discussing.

She may not be imposing anything on anyone else, but she’s definitely choosing to skew her interactions with men, which will cause problems down the line. They’re problems that, technically we could tolerate. But I really don’t want to.

You’ve convinced me that not all of these titles are like that, but if I’m answering the original poster’s question, the line is definitely around there.

You’ve kinda lost me again. Substantively the stories themselves are about personal experiences, but tbh the fact that the titles generalise like this just seems disingenuous to me. Strictly speaking if I said something outrageous like “women are gold diggers”, sure I could be talking about one or more women or only women in my personal life, rather than spreading harmful stereotypes about most women, but that’s not how my expression would be understood but people ordinarily. I’d be bloody socially crucified for saying that. And rightly so tbh. Whatever the case is, it should go both ways, and I would not let the gold digger statement fly, so I shouldn’t let these other ones fly.

If I just omit using the word “all” in front of men or women, suddenly it becomes okay to purport any old stereotype. It would be much better if these people spoke what they meant and just said that “some me do x”. Yeah, it’s a less baity title, and it’s obvious, but that’s what makes them generalising so disingenuous in the first place.

this attitude seems to be relatively prevalent, i mean the 'good reasons' or 'justifiable reasons' via trauma.

this is false tho. trauma is misleading in that way. it overly simplifies problems in ways that are grossly out of line with reality. its the 'tiger in the woods' problem. people learn to fear tigers in the woods, the thought goes, because their ancestors were traumatized into being deathly afraid of them, and for good reason. the trauma response is to categorize all tigers the same which is a perfectly fair and reasonable thing to do with tigers.

but it doesnt apply to men. or black men. or queers. or women. or trans. or mexicans. or americans. it doesnt even apply well to trump supporters, feminists, libertarians, or even clintonites, tho it may to MAGA idk:)

its not a struggle not to because of the what she been through, its a struggle not too bc folks encourage the trauma response as if it were accurate, a 'reasonable' sort of thing, reveling in the trauma of it, celebrating it even, rather than disengaging from it and nominalizing it.

surely, you’ve seen the weekly posts we get here, the ones where people like to comment that meme under them "my life sucks = societal collapse is imminent"

now, the gist of 90% of these posts (that btw try to seem very intellectual and smart by using big words) is that men should take away women's rights, completely remove them from the job market and schools, force them to marry men and have babies, so civilization won’t collapse. we also get the nice "we could take your rights away because we’re stronger, but we don’t, so have sex with us or else" (aka a rape threat) almost every week. and of course these posts get barely any...close to zero pushback from men here. and of course, again, the people who post these aren't scientists or professors concerned about the future of civilization. most of them are dudes who can't get sex. a few days ago, the stuff one of them was saying was so shocking that I genuinely got curious and decided to look up their profile. turns out, the dude was constantly hiring escorts, had sex dolls, couldn’t get hard, was addicted to porn, was pushing 40, living with his dad, and didn’t even have a single guy friend. but his main concern was...the collapse of society because women are such bitches.

now, I don’t know if I can even consider these posts simply "sexist" I’d be more inclined to call them literal terrorism...but anyway, my question is has there ever been a single time when you pushed back against these views? have you ever told these guys "hey dude, maybe pushing for rape and enslavement of women isn’t really a good solution for everything"

It says how it defines it for the purpose of stats. Which still means the issue isn’t with the law itself. It’s with the recording of data concerning rape. And yet again I will point out that it is in fact MEN who defined sex by penetration and it is in fact MEN who defined rape by penetration. You do not get to blame this incorrect reporting of data on women. Men created this problem.

Second of all. Men are still the majority of rapists even in accurate reporting of this data. Why is it that males are obsessed with shoving their physical advantages in women’s faces 24/7 and screeching we’re inferior because we don’t have the same physical capacity, but yet males refuse to accept any inferiority on their own end. It’s well established males are violent and far more sexually predatory than women.

I think you’re using logic to go from a conclusion to a reasoning. Not a great idea here. Something can be a problem and not be taken seriously by most people. A man could say something harmful to a women and a woman could say the same harmful thing to a man - would you agree most people would see the man has doing more harm? We’re JUST getting out of an age (although with recent political events idk where we’re headed) where women are taken more seriously in terms of their careers, ambitions, opinions, etc. Many men worldwide still see women as unthreatening baby incubators. Many WOMEN worldwide still see women as unthreatening baby incubators. For better or worse - women are not seen as a “threat”.

Like I said before I didn’t bring up violence because although you have to be really careful to think critically about context when you slam statistics - and I agree that men are mostly responsible for that - domestic violence and rape accusations towards women are not taken as seriously as those that have women accusing men - not even the ones that see a grown woman preying on preteen boys - would you agree? But would you say it’s still an issue although it’s not taken nearly as seriously?

All this long winded shit is just to say that I think this “men / women are meaner” discourse is borderline useless right now. There’s no clear cut like people like to make it seem - just a bunch of anecdotes and trauma

Guys will say misandry is taking protective measures to avoid or protect yourself from bad men. It's man hating to be protective of oneself and have boundaries.

It usually happens because you have bad experiences with men.

So you take that hurt and understanding that there are bad men. And have first hand experiences with bad men. And protect yourself from bad men.

Men who will try and pump and dump you and see you as nothing more than a walking Fleshlight.

Men who will "humble" women. By knocking their self esteem down a few pegs to make them seem like the catch.

Men who don't understand consent.

Men who get violent after rejection.

Like we have boundaries and stuff and know what to look out for. It's not misandry to protect yourself. Is locking your door at night prejudice to your neighbors around you? Or are you taking reasonable action to protect yourself?

I agree on all points, but I will also say feminism does the same thing. I get it slightly different as the goal of feminism is equality, and there are many places where we are not equal, but many times feminism is bringing up historical wrongs or things that are actively getting better simply because it upsets them that it happened to them. Primary example is there’s still complaints about the number of women executives, when that number Has quadrupled over the last 25 years, and is still growing rapidly. Feminist will complain that it’s men’s fault for this and it’s men holding women down when just like anything it takes time because women need to see other women succeeded first, as well as the right women have to work through a career to become an executive.

I only say the above as I find any gender specific movement to be hurt about pain versus prosperity. If men felt they were being treated well, there would not be MGTOW, and if women felt they were being treated fairly, there would not be feminism. Because of this, any gender specific party will be about focusing entirely on their pain and not about decentering.

I don't think they treat men poorly. Most just have better boundaries and watch out for bad behavior. A lot of men assume boundaries= treating a guy badly. You can be wary of strangers and not mistreat strangers. I wouldn't give a stranger free reign of my home and let them in. They are a stranger. I think putting protective measures and stuff and being wary is common sense. And men who hear these safety tips automatically assume it's man hating.

For example.

A woman slept with a guy too early that she met on a dating app. The connection felt strong and he seemed genuine so they had sex by the second date about 3 weeks in and daily texting. Then a few days after he ghosted her and blocked her.

Now with that negative experience and being blindsided and betrayed by someone she thought she had a a genuine connection with. She now waits to have sex with someone she dates. Is she punishing those guys? No she's setting better boundaries to filter out would be fuckboys who are looking for a good time.

Are all men she dates fuckboys who will do that? No. But should you be discerning to make sure they aren't yes. That's that accountability thing they go on about here.

I'm posting this about 16 hours in to the thread and there are a couple dozen responses. Not a SINGLE ONE disparages the post titles posted in the OP (u/S0yslut is the only one who doesn't try to justify the titles, thank you S0yslut).

By and large the women on this sub are misandrist. The misandrist women want us to suffer. They are narcissistic and do not recognize their own privilege. This is also largely reflected in real life in Western society.

Men have lower life expectancy than women.

Men are the victims of violent crime more often than women.

Men suffer from workplace injury far more than women do.

Men commit suicide several times more frequently than women.

Men are judged to harsher sentences than women for the same crime.

Men born in the last 30 years have lower home-ownership rates than women.

Men born in the last 30 years have less educational opportunities and worse educational outcomes than women.

The only major statistic where men are advantaged over women is personal income, and that's by a very slim margin, likely to flip in the next few years.

If any of these stats were racial instead of by gender, we would be screaming non-stop about the inequality. Men make up 50% of the population, we are more than capable of fighting for our own causes; the women in this thread have made it clear they do not care about our issues. We need to make sure the newer generation of young men are less influenced by the pervasive feminist propaganda. We need to be resolute about the fact than men are disadvantaged as a group. We also need to disassociate advocating for men's rights from literal Nazism. We need to ally with reasonable women (who are also 50% of the electorate) and not antagonize them.
