When we met my ex was a 7/10 and that was great for me. She let herself go during our relationship a little, before a final glow-up before our separation where she started wearing tiny thongs, growing her hair out, hitting the gym hard. By the time we split she was, for me, a 9/10 - absolute head turner, killer body, the same beautiful face. I knew from experience she was a rocket-ship in bed.

She was also a complete lunatic and I am better off without her in my life anymore.

I'm working through a lot emotionally, and one of the pains of it is feeling that I nabbed the most attractive partner I will ever have. We met when she was in her late 20's, and I'm now 41. I've had interest from women, but no-one in the same league as my ex.

I know it's not all about sex and attractiveness - god, I have learned that lesson - but it's a bitter pill to swallow. How true is it? I don't mean theoretically, I mean amongst us in this space.
