This is how it seems to work for most of the men I interact with on a regular basis: in-group vs. out-group.

They want to see that you have a healthy respect and regard for men within the in-group. That includes men in your family, men in his family, the men in the broader community he trusts, admires, and personally gets along with.

Outside of that, he does not care and may even outright prefer that you approach others with caution/suspicion.

While men have no choice. Men have to take it and the very idea they have struggles with that is a sign of some sort of developmental failure. Right? Because women know it so well how to mentally deal with this stuff, about how threatening and daunting "very reasonable mild disgust that actually makes total sense" should be, and how it should feel.

Men absolutely have a choice. Don't play a rigged game. The only reason why the average woman has an insufferable attitude towards an average man is precisely because a lot of men will lower their standards and then say "I didn't have a choice". No, you do. This is the list:

- Take your passport and travel to a location where you are treated far better (geo-arbitrage).

- Hire escorts who provide a girlfriend experience. Almost any virgin who frequents escorts will eventually be cured from simping.

- Stay single. That's it. It's far more honorable to protect your peace than be a dancing monkey in a modern humiliating ritual where you feel like you are walking on eggshells and "there are no other options".

If most men tomorrow decide they are not interested in contributing to the simp economy, all of these issues will be solved. Until you have this mindset that you have to enter a relationship at any cost, nothing will be solved.

Men consistently express disgust towards women. If you have body hair, if you have cellulite or any fat, they’re disgusted by the variation in vaginas. If you’re an ugly women it’s visible disgust when interacting. Periods are topics on constant ire. Saggy boobs. Natural aging is often considered disgusting. If you’ve slept with too many men in their opinion you’re disgusting.

I know you can only speak from your perspective but men absolutely hold a mild disgust towards women, but somehow ya’ll seem to act like you don’t. So yes, I can imagine if a guy was talking about the mild disgust they feel dating us.

I think that women make an exception to their general disinterest in many men with the men whom they are actually interested in. Men often do not understand this because their sexuality does not work the same way.

I want to argue that women don't deal with that "general disgust" as you've put it.

Men like to talk about women as something they would use (yes, something) and they hate the idea to connect with a woman or (oh horror) marry her. Ball and chain jokes. Whipped jokes. They "joke" (hate) men who actually act decent towards women. Women see this, and it send a message that acting decent towards her is something disgusting. She deserves only doormat treatment. Not just that, but the worse you treat us the better, it's praised. A lot of women had experience when a man had sex with her and then showed enormous disgust because she is a "hoe". Actually, that happens even if she doesn't sleep with him. Hell, we constantly get questions "how to make women want to fuck me but not like me to actually want a relationship with me". Men describe relationships with us as something bothersome, tiresome, performative etc. Something beneath them.

So yeah, i get that feeling of disgust.

You can say it's not personal, it's about "the bad people of your gender", "if you take it personal it says more about you", so on and so on. A generalized mild disgust is still a generalized mild disgust, and it goes without saying that women feel that way about dating men.

My man has a “mild disgust” for most men too, so he totally understands. Most men who have heard any stories about what women have had to deal with from men understand fine.

Imagine if a guy was talking about dating women like that. Well, you don't have to imagine, you have certainly seen it, and certainly avoid guys like it as the plague. (Say hello to all your awesome male partners who are not like that.)

If men had to live with women rapists and stalkers their whole life starting as a young boy the way women have faced since we were young g girls, and dating was an additional method of attracting those crazies - they would also feel that! For some reason women are less likely to target men for rape and sexual harassment, so most men haven’t experienced that and so don’t feel that way. However plenty of men don’t like dating and find it hard, but still want a partner.

But again, for women, this mild disgust they feel about men goes without saying. And before anyone makes excuses or tries to gaslight:

To be fair, for at least a decade and a half before this supposed shift, women were the butt of the joke in tolerating your future wife in most media. Getting married was getting 'chained' and 'imprisoned' for a man, 'bossy woman miserable husband' tropes, grumpy husband and sweet wife. That's without mentioning the romanticization of male obsession and domestic violence.

Unfortunately, it seems to be associated with lack of sufficient emotional capacity from men in general due to social and perhaps neurological differences, the capacity that women gave up on searching. (They find it in subpar erotic novella instead) Now the men that don't get satisfied with this shift, they go search for the pretense of being admirable in Thailand, if you get me.

Honestly, the weirdest thing is the way many women will speak poorly about men as a generality and then seem genuinely surprised that an individual would take that personally.

Do they not think their words carry weight? Are they truly surprised that many men would take things like "patriarchy", "toxic masculinity", and "male privilege" as "yeah, you're a man and so everything bad in life is your fault".

To a straight woman who really wants a relationship, dating is like being stranded on a desert island where the only food is a giant pile of coconuts. And for whatever reason, some of those coconuts are rotten inside.

If that were you, after your first or second gross, rotten, worm-filled coconut… wouldn’t you approach each new coconut with mild disgust? Of course you would. Would you feel ‘lucky’ and like you ‘had it good’ because you could choose any coconut that you want? You would not. But you’d be overjoyed when you found a good one, and that disgust would instantly go away.

I've said before that i believe women dislike and disgust of men is innate. Some believe Feminism is why most women hate men but i'm not so sure anymore. The reason i like this sub is because i confirmed what i already suspected, that straight women hate that they're straight. It's like they are lesbians that had a spell casted on them to be "attracted" (Debatable.) to men and they know and hate it. I come to this sub to remind me how women view men and hope that other men understand how women view them too. If guys understand this fact they'd be more selective of the type of women they marry and won't end up in the usual dead bedroom problem because they married a wannabe lesbian.

I mean… I do think there’s this conflagration effect going on where it just feels like a huge portion of women have some sort of resentment or hatred towards men. Feels way beyond where feminism was a few years ago and the logical arguments around it (I’ve always considered myself a feminist).

At this point I don’t know if it’s about actually wanting equality or wanting reparations for years of inequality. Because sometimes it feels like the latter.
