Speaking from my own experience when I was at college, I am almost certain all the guys in my friendship group were getting zero sex. Some of them tried to give off the impression that they were getting sex, or they could get it if they wanted but didn't "care" about it. Some of them would make fun of the others for being virgins, even though they themselves clearly weren't getting any.

It's absolutely horrible to be sexless during a time when everyone around you is partying and having fun. It's mental torture and probably contributes to a lot of young males failing or dropping out of college. It's just impossible to deal with a lack of sex in that environment at that age when you are at your horniest.

American colleges seem unique in terms of the crazy party life.

Even in canada there's a few school known for partying but that's it. It's much more balanced.

But yeah the frat boys have alot of sex, regular guys might have a gf or an occasional hookup, and everyone else gets nothing.

I think its about 12% of college men that graduate virgins and 11% of college women.

However most college students only have a handful, 1 - 3 sexual partners in their time in college and just stay in long term relationships or long term fuck buddy situations for a year or more.

After that I would say the 30 - 40% of single college students engage in hookup culture and mess around with multiple people but it gets rarer when you say its 10 - 20+ people. It happens, but its not as prevalent as people hooking up with under 10 people in their time.

If we're talking about women specifically and she just doesn't care & wants to have fun she can easily hook up with 100 + people in her 4 years at college but this is uber duper rare.

I guess it depends on the school and party culture. And since we're on Reddit, it should be said that engineering majors have less sex than any other. This is because there's less females in the classes and most are socially awkward or emotionally unintelligent compared to other majors.

It it true regardless of major, fraternity or not, clubs or not... the top single men at most colleges have all the most sexual activity with the top 50 - 60% or so women. However these men can't be everywhere and girls just wanna have fun so if you're in the right place at the right time & confident you're the one hooking up with them.

If you’re a guy that’s known for fooling around, you’ll only get what you want from other chicks that are known to go for that... and maybe the chicks who want to “change” frat boy Chad. Every single girl isn’t knocking down the average dudes door because she already has beefed up frat boys knocking down her door.

Probably 30-35 % of men are celibate, mostly by force.

around 50% of men are getting some sex (anywhere from once every 6 months to once every other week).

Around 15% of men are getting a lot of sex.

My guess would be 25% of women are celibate, mostly by choice.

The rest of the women are getting all the sex they want, whether that's once a month or multiple times a day.

Honestly? No idea, and we’ll probably never actually know.

There are men who believe college is the only time to be fucking as many women as possible, and will either hook up with as many girls as possible or wildly inflate their body count to reflect this. Regardless of their number, certainly more men were participating in hookup culture than women.

There are girls with demented body image, self-esteem, and ego issues who crack under the stress of now having the same societal/economic expectations levied unto them as men, and compensate with all the free alcohol/drugs/sex that guys there are willing to provide them, and underscore it entirely to avoid seeming damaged. They were the minority though, most women didn’t want to have casual sex more than once or a few times, if at all.

There are terminally single introverts who hate themselves because they’ve been conditioned to think this is when it’s time to fuck, and you’re hopeless after.

There are terminally single introverts who are totally fine with it.

There are people who couple up and stay together a while.

There are poly hippie houses being poly hippie houses.

There are the devoutly religious being the devoutly religious.

There are people who kinda just get their few hookups in freshman or sophomore year, and call it a phase.

It’s just too difficult to tell, and few are going to be honest about it due to societal pressures for and against sex.From what I remember in college, all of the above existed. From what I can tell you dating after college, many of the women had nothing to do with hookup culture, yet quite a few did. It was either a brief phase or it kept going, and IME those who kept it going still have the same self-esteem/body image/intimacy issues. It’s a fucked up time, where people are simultaneously doing all this and nothing at once, and most of them are basing their self-worth on their involvement in it.

Infamously, my campus had a very in-depth sex survey that was not sanctioned by my psych department’s IRB and had such a longstanding culture of in-jokes passed down from class to class that the results are very, very inaccurate (apparently, everyone has had sex with 10-20 people by a certain year, multiple times weekly with different people, the most popular places to have sex were all public especially the freshman engineering lab, library bathrooms, and the roof of the art building, and everyone’s into anal...okay). Even the people administering the survey knew the jokes and were in on it.

I don't know the exact percentages, but more importantly, I'd wager that the majority of women not having much sex in college are doing so by choice, and the majority of men not having sex in college are not abstaining from sex by choice.

Hard to say because I don't think anyone surveys this, and even if they do, people lie on self-reported surveys so we will probably never know the real numbers. All I can say is that there are a lot of men not having sex in college (maybe they're in a relationship outside of college), and some of the women are having more sex than they let on/want people to think.

If I wasn't so inhibited, I probably could have smashed this cute foreign exchange student from Egypt who was pretty buff and on the track and field team at my university. I don't know what it is about some muscle on a woman but the aesthetics of a toned body are universes ahead of the classic "smooth" look. Plus, she had thick legs and a pretty toned and filled out ass so I was getting ass-matized there.

When I was in college I did an informal survey about sex after a “party weekend” and only a tiny number admitted to having sex over said weekend. Maybe 10%? It was for a psych type class.

Casual sex or relationship sex?

I agree only a small percent of men are having casual sex. Mostly extroverted men who are going to parties, although you'll have the occasional weird nerds who all hook up with each other. Ime the majority of women weren't having casual sex either though.

However nearly every guy (and girl) has relationship sex by the time they graduate undergrad. I majored in computer science and even the nerdiest guys in my classes had a gf at some point during college. You'd have be an extreme introvert or have absolute bottom tier RMV to graduate college without ever having been in a relationship.

I'm a solid 6 in the looks department but I used to have an amazing body (now it's just above average due to injuries on deployment), epic stamina, I can be charming AF, and I'm a very attentive lover. Even I was able to rack up more than 100 body count before I decided to stop it.

All you need is at least average looks, good hygiene, manners, style, social skills, a ZFTG attitude, and put yourself in social situations where there are lots of available women. If you learn how to build tension and get a reputation as a good & attentive lover, you'll be gtg.

Women, like men in college are in the process of figuring out who they are and their value sets in relation to there peers. They’re immature like we all are at that age and believe certain qualities in guys indicate potential attractive characteristics. Example: An extroverted socially calibrated guy holding court at a party may indicate he’s confident, or may be false bravado to cover up insecurity. There’s no guidebook women get to figure this out, they just have to meet, sleep with, and date different men until she finds what she’s looking for. Just have to get over that all things being equal she’ll probably have more sexual experiences than you. You can learn a lot about a girl from the kind of men she’s slept with in the past. Virginity for men is like a fart: it stinks and no one wants to be associated with it. Think if we realized our lack of experience mattered less to women than we thought it did, we’d have less anxiety on when we would get laid.

In college, most girls have exactly as much sex as they want. Whether than means once per semester, once per week, or 4 times per day with different guys, all the sex any college girl wants she will get.

For guys, the Top 20% are having 80% of the sex, bottom 80% get the remaining 20%.

I remember watching Harley Quinn the SJW cartoon where jokes were made about how much sex there's at college. It's not the only show to make such jokes, but yeah, gives me FOMO. All this sex positivity is just... idk. There's a lot of sex for women and for a bunch of men. Not for the average guy.
