Hobby group thing is misunderstood

No we don't like it when men join hobby groups for the specific purpose of dating women. I'm there to enjoy my hobby and make friends.

The idea is that if you make friends from the hobby and you may:

A) click with someone and a relationship may form

B) they may invite you to meet their other formed and so on.

I've seen b happen a few times. It's about widening your social circle enough to meet new people.

Absent COVID, there's always flying out of the country to someplace that it's legal. Neither that, or the small number of legal places in Nevada (unless you live nearby) is much good unless you're just looking to get it out of your system once.

I do disagree about the interest groups, though. If you're doing it specifically to meet women, it will be transparent, but having hobbies that you actually enjoy that have a decent gender balance greatly increases your odds of getting to know women organically.

I still think it’s relevant criticism for someone who’s interested in communicating with people, opposite sex or not.

Honestly, your train of thought is very tiring. People don’t like to be bothered with conversations colored by this mentality when they’re doing anything. When you have good energy and interesting thoughts to communicate you could “bother” most people and they would in the worst case tolerate it, and probably like it, even if they don’t find you attractive and don’t want sex with you. Ultimately there would be some person that does and you’d get it. edit: Obviously, this only stands if you’re in the normal/average range. Now I went back to the post, you said you’re below. This is then even MORE important, but also more hard to work on.
