I have att least never heard anyone here say an older woman with a younger guy is some accomolishment rather that most here seem to think it's as wrong and creepy no matter if it's a man or a women because younger persons brain isn't yet completely developed and they don't have the same life experiences so it's much easier to get manipulated, there is so much proof of that. Personally I don't care though if a 30 year old is with a 70 year old, their stupid choice but it's a bigger risk of they were 20 that they couln't completely give full consent. You ever notice how completely inaccurate their descriptions of FDS are? Like, they talk about things that I've literally never seen here, or see very rarely, and on posts with almost no comments/upvotes.

It's very clear what the message here actually is, to anybody who has ever actually looked through the sub anyways.

They'll call us incels (for choosing to not accept garbage treatment), say we hate men (for choosing not to feel obligated to fuck/date anyone), and that we're in an echo chamber (because we don't allow them in here to derail conversations).

Really, what it boils down it is that they're mad as fuck. They're so mad that we don't need/want them, and it terrifies them that more women could choose to be this way, making things harder for them.

They try their hardest to discredit us so that their future victims remain unaware of how good they could really have it by raising their standards. It's a trick as old as mankind, men calling women "crazy" when they don't like what we have to say.

I can't get through all of those comments but it's interesting they assume it's all a certain political leaning of women. As a 20 y/o woman, men older than 27 are unattractive to me, and men over 35 look repulsive and disgusting, nothing about them is sexually attractive, not even in the rare case they take care of themselves and look decent. They're like dads or uncles. No 20 year old woman has rejected young and fit men her age to go after an old fuck. This is insane. I’ve posted about my one platonic male friend and my older SO here before. The comments I’ve gotten back have ALL been “make sure you vet the shit outta them, and never stop vetting”. Which I appreciate, because that’s the same advice I’ll give any woman. And quite frankly, even being in an age gap relationship, I’m wary of older men who hit on younger women. Most of them just want someone to manipulate. They know that 35+ year old women aren’t likely to put up with their shit.

And even with my SO being respectful, loving, kind, and supportive of me, there are issues with the age gap. His sex drive isn’t as high as mine. His friends are all older than me. There are cultural references that we don’t get. And he’s going to die much sooner than I will—barring me getting hit by a truck/terminal illness/other catastrophe. There WILL come a day where we will no longer be partners. This WILL end in heartbreak for me. Realistically, that last part is true of any relationship—you either break up or one of you dies. But him dying is likely to be sooner than if I was dating someone closer to my own age.

In our relationship, for now, it works and it works well. But I caution every woman against age gaps. If I could pick between him as-is, and him closer to my age, I’d pick the younger version.
