Just some context to this: a recent Quinnipiac poll showed the democratic party has a record low 22% approval rating from men.

I believe they have permanently lost men, unless the real, populist democrats brand themselves as independent or republican the way RFK Jr or Tulsi Gabbard did. It’s needs to get all the race, gender, and alphabet grifters out. Focus on labor, bringing back American jobs, securing the borders, tacking corruption that hurts the middle class, promoting intact families (current marriage laws reward breaking the contract) and improving education and training so citizens can meet the standards of those jobs. I don’t think that democrats are “against” white men necessarily but they are very progressive and supportive of minorities and women and sometimes that may lead to white men being overshadowed. I honestly believe their intentions are good but it becomes tricky when you get into gender and race politics. They must remind people that they are for ALL people, there are also quite a bit of white male liberals. Maybe they should start pushing them into the spotlight more often. Inclusivity is key, everyone just wants to be heard right? 🤷‍♂️

Well, when they figure it out, they might realize that it’s not just white men they need to win over. And at that point, they might actually resonate with enough of the populace to win an election. Until then, good luck winning with fringe population elements’ support. Yeesh!

I can tell you why I am a Democrat. I am a Democrat, not an anti male feminist. I believe in economic and social policies that prioritize fairness, opportunity, and dignity for all. I support progressive policies that uplift working people, ensuring they receive fair wages, strong labor protections, and the right to unionize without intimidation. I admire Bernie Sanders and his advocacy for economic justice. I believe students shouldn't be crushed by debt for attending public universities, and we should invest in tuition-free or debt-free higher education, as other developed nations do.

I think abortion should remain legal, safe, and accessible and rare. At the same time, I strongly advocate for comprehensive sex education and widespread access to contraception to reduce the need for abortion. The wealthiest Americans should contribute their fair share. I support taxing the top 1% to fund essential social programs like universal healthcare, quality public education, and paid family leave, systems that countries like France, Germany, and Switzerland already have. I believe in strengthening voting rights, expanding access to healthcare, protecting gay and lesbian rights, and addressing climate change with serious, science backed policies. We need a government that works for the many, not just the few.

I’ve written a few emails to political podcasters about this issue (ALL men trending Right) because I think modern men are caught between old school pressures and expectations and a modern society that labels them unduly privileged, selfishly entitled, and to blame for practically everything. And, I think, because of old school expectations of stoicism and self-reliance, much of the frustration is subconscious.

Enter: the manipulative Right, interested more in division, anger, and regressive rhetoric. They play on the frustration with the false idea that old times were so much better, and men were men, etc. And all of that is bullshit promoted by wealthy corporate media, keeping enough people voting for Republicans whose only policies are to make the rich richer, (and keep the people frustrated).

Mostly, I think it’s social media and academia on the left that is the biggest problem for men. I’m not sure the Democratic Party itself has done much to exacerbate men’s issues, but certainly they haven’t done much to address them. (Of course, neither have Republicans in any real way). I think the Democrats tried, and did a good job, by promoting the positive Midwest manhood of Tim Walz alongside Harris. They need to draw more attention to issues like boys lagging behind in modern education, etc., and celebrate fatherhood and men’s often-overlooked mental strength and crisis control. Men on the Left, I think, need to recognize their own struggles as men, and stick up for each other when it’s warranted.

Even in the matter of gender equality, women aren’t the enemy, unevolved people and their ignorance is. And IMO, they are found MUCH more on the Right.
