Holy shit, it's even worse with context.

I don't think it's real. The whole thing is too specifically a trope. Also the timestamps seem odd to me. The conversation reads like a quick back and forth, but there are several min between each message. In fact no two messages are during the same min, which happens to me quite often when I'm messaging.

[–]mypernaccount57 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It's as if some people have lives they attend to in between text messages. I don't know.

[–]YM_Industries 16 points17 points18 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's definitely unconfirmed. Trust, but verify.

I don't see the timing as unrealistic at all though.

probably the complete and utter lack of any consequences for doing it, for starters.

Until some real consequences are dealt for frauds (which is difficult to do because you can't always have proof in these instances) this card can be used as many times as necessary.

[–]Kirschkernkissen24 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well, at least they could begin to charge the ones with irrefutable evidence instead a pat on the hand. She obviously tries to blackmail the dude and god knows what else.

Getting pregnant and sponge some alimony? Giving him STDs?

How about some months in a psych ward and dismissal so she doesn't harass him anymore in his occupation.

To be fair, this nutjob sounds delusional to the point of mental health being necessary but the sad thing is that if he didn't have the proof her bullshit allegations would easily have landed him in jail and probably lost him his job.

It should but since when does logic play a role in the "rape accusation as a weapon" playbook.

Seriously it's sad that bitches know they can get away with it so much that they will regularly threaten people with rape accusations to get what they want these days.

Shit like this is why I can't understand "feminism"

They are fine with crucifying men with no proof other than some crazy bitch like this saying she was raped and the funny thing is they'd still be against her being punished with this evidence staring them in the face if she had gone to the cops and got called out.

I don't dismiss the fact that rape is a real thing and that it's terrible and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but that door swings both ways. They spend so much time talking about how strong they are while playing the fucking victim simultaneously. It just makes no sense...

[–]MehitsjustCharlie 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

With someone like this in particular, instability could definitely be a norm. If she's daring to say something so egregious to the point of invoking the law to step in, it might not have been her first rodeo. There's the posibility that this tactic has been used before and the bluff was not called by the opposite party due to the high probability of it working.

A person this volatile would certainly have shown some signs of social instability. Of course we are to blame the chance of her pulling it off, but let's not disregard the flipside. In the case the claim is made, there are procedures to be followed - the doubt sips in of the claim being regarded for what it is (false) but one can't assume there's 100% conviction for some random being allegedly violated upon. Sounds a bit ridiculous and simple-minded, but being married in a situation like this is a huge point of advantage solely for the marital status itself.

[–]SexySohail 16 points17 points18 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

pisses me off how people who can, do. when there are no consequences for doing something, some people will just do it. they haven't learnt how it's not okay, even if there are no repercussions.

Met a guy last week told me this story.

He had just separated from his gf of 3 years. She actually broke into his house just to protest the breakup (with violence not logic) guy had to restrain her until she stormed out, called the cops, and waited on the stoop for them to show up. Cops buy the girls story, guy gets locked up and his public defender tried to get him to take a deal for a 3 month sentence.

His fucking public defender wouldn't even entertain the idea that the guy he was representing did nothing wrong, despite the fact that the woman sustained no documentable injuries, after SHE broke into HIS house.

Shit's fucking insane.

[–]scemcee 30 points31 points32 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's what is called 'a victory for feminism'. :/

[–]gprime 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think you're misunderstanding what happened with the public defender. He may well have believed his client's innocence. But the American judicial system is broken, because it is set up to incentivize plea deals. Prosecutors, who are barely accountable, overcharge, leveraging the threat of major time behind bars to induce plea agreements that protect their win-loss record and save the time and monetary expenses of trial. Meanwhile, public defenders are given massive client loads and almost no resources to service them, so most clients get representation that while technically legally adequate, is in practice quite bad. To mange their load, they pressure clients into accepting these plea deals. And the clients, being ignorant of the law and fearing the worst, usually give in. So really, you want an aggressive private practitioner, but that is wildly expensive if they're any good.

[–]RedditorJemi 3 points4 points5 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If the public defenders' case loads are too high, then ipso facto, there are not enough public defenders. This constitutes a violation of a person's right to legal council.

[–]steelheader 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

He is enthusiastically defending his client. I would expect nothing less of my lawyer doing the same for me.

[–]PM_ME_NICE_THOUGHTS 16 points17 points18 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the problem with public defenders that are in bed with the prosecutors office.

[–]NotARealAtty 8 points9 points10 points 11 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

That's why you pay a lawyer instead of expecting a public defender, with an already unmanageable caseload, to invest the same kind of time with 1/40th the number of clients (and making 5 times as much). You have a right to an attorney, not a good attorney.

[–]steelheader 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You get what you pay for.

[–]RedditorJemi 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that a bad attorney is not an attorney at all, and the fact that most public defenders are atrociously bad at their jobs is a travesty of justice and a violation of human rights.

[–]NotARealAtty -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

This comment is so dumb I don't even know where to start. Is a bad artist not an artist or a bad dog not a dog? And a human rights violation? What?

[–]RedditorJemi 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Is a bad artist not an artist

Oh I see. So if someone draws really crude stick figures, well that's art. So that person is an artist. If a lawyer loses every case such that his clients would do better by representing themselves, well, that's a lawyer. A surgeon, by virtue of having a medical degree and being trained in surgery and being employed as a surgeon, is a surgeon. And this applies even if his record is killing 1,000 patients out of the 1,000 he's performed surgery on. He's a surgeon.

This comment is so dumb I don't even know where to start

Yeah. You don't know where to start, because you didn't understand my comment in the first place. There is no substantial distinction between an attorney who is bad at law and any ordinary person who is bad at law. The sixth amendment says:

'In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.'

If 'the assistance of council' is interpreted to mean 'anyone who's passed the bar in that jurisdiction, irregardless of whether or not they're an effective lawyer', then the state can simply make sure that all available counsel is completely ineffective. In that case, the sixth amendment might as well say 'In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to have a puppy dog lick his face before being summarily executed'. It's pretty much the same thing. That's why the supreme court has ruled that the right to counsel is the right to effective council:

Effective Assistance of Counsel.—“[T]he right to counsel is the right to the effective assistance of counsel.”233 From the beginning of the cases holding that counsel must be appointed for defendants unable to afford to retain a lawyer, the Court has indicated that appointment must be made in a manner that affords “effective aid in the preparation and trial of the case.”

Quote from https://www.law.cornell.edu/anncon/html/amdt6frag9_user.html#fnb233

So it seems the supreme court agrees with me that ineffective counsel does not constitute counsel. Just as a surgeon who isn't any good at keeping his patient alive is no surgeon.

[–]NotARealAtty -3 points-2 points-1 points 11 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

A lawyer is a lawyer as long as he is licensed by the bar. It's literally that simple. You were arguing that public defenders don't qualify as lawyers, while your citation refers to a level of representation that's so far below the standard that it's not even in the same ball park as a public defender or even just a really bad lawyer. You have no idea what you're talking about and know nothing about the law or legal profession. You're not even a good Internet lawyer. Even the worst public defender knows orders of magnitude more about the law and common sense than you.

[–]RedditorJemi 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Your arguments are nothing but ad hominem. There's literally no substance to them. Next time you're looking for a lawyer, I hope you get that worst public defender you're talking about.

[–]NotARealAtty1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well because I can both afford a lawyer and am a lawyer I won't have to worry about that. Good luck with your promising Internet legal career.

[–]RedditorJemi1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't think you're a lawyer, because of this:

You have a right to an attorney, not a good attorney.

Effective counsel is good counsel. The supreme court has already ruled that the sixth amendment gives a defendant in a criminal case the right to effective counsel, and hence good counsel.

[–]NotARealAtty1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

A lawyer is a lawyer as long as he is licensed by the bar.

It's that simple. No case law needed. I don't know what part of that you are incapable of comprehending.

[–]RedditorJemi1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Since you didn't respond to my actual argument, I assume it's you who is incapable of comprehending. Note that I was at no point making a statement about what legally constitutes a lawyer - that would be trivial. I was responding to this piece of idiocy:

You have a right to an attorney, not a good attorney.

Which clearly contradicts the supreme court decision cited for you in that article I linked to, which you never bothered to respond to.

You also came out with this little gem:

And a human rights violation? What?

Whoa! Did that throw you for a loop? Why don't you check out this little document here, under section 11:

http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/

Article 11.

(1) Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence.

Which would of course include a lawyer who is effective, and therefore good. The surprise you expressed at my suggestion that denying someone effective legal counsel is a human rights violation is enough to convince me that you are not a lawyer.

[–]NotARealAtty1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Holy shit you're retarded. I seriously can't read the same terrible argument again. You literally said that public defenders aren't lawyers. I mean I can't even believe you're still trying to rationalize that statement. Many of the best defense (and practices) attorneys started out in that job. Guess they aren't real attorneys. Having a source doesn't mean anything if you have no idea how to interpret the source, or even form a coherent thought. I can't believe you even spent that much time tracking down such terrible, unrelated sources. I don't care what you think of my profession. I hope no public defender ever has to deal with you. They will certainly quit or commit suicide.

[–]RedditorJemi1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

All you did was mischaracterize my argument. Then you said that the constitution and the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights were terrible sources. You're such a bad lawyer, I wouldn't be surprised if all you're clients were in prison.

[–]NotARealAtty1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I wouldn't be surprised if all you're clients were in prison.

None are...because most lawyers don't practice criminal law...

[–]RedditorJemi1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well thank god you don't practice criminal law. Society really dodged a bullet there.

[–]NotARealAtty1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

They sure did. Otherwise a ton of guilty people would be walking free thanks to me. Great chatting with you.

[–]RedditorJemi1 point 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

LOL you retard. If that were true the dynamics of a mostly free market would dictate that you would become a criminal defense attorney.

As it stands there are plenty of innocent men being put in prison for crimes they didn't commit, even with the help of paid counsel. If you were really qualified such that you could get guilty men acquitted with anything resembling consistency, well then you would stand alongside giants like Alan Dershowitz, and the market would reward you greatly. As it stands I've observed you piss away about 45 minutes to an hour demonstrating your inability to put forth even the most basic of arguments, and for someone on the level of Dershowitz that would represent about $600 worth of what would otherwise be billable hours, probably more. He would also wipe the floor with you in argument, because you're an ineloquent piece of shit phony who has yet to even demonstrate one iota of actual legal knowledge in a thread that has already stretched out for 15 comments.

In the 8 comments you've made in this thread you have proved nothing but your own incompetence. Anyone analyzing your comments in this thread could not help but imagine how tactless, ungraceful, and downright incompetent you would come off in a real legal case. This would hold doubly or triply true if you were going up against a skilled prosecutor who - like most prosecutors - would employ every legal dirty trick in the book to get your client convicted. Anyone who would employ you as their legal counsel would be a fool without doubt. So by all means, go ahead and toot your own horn. Declare yourself a genius at criminal law despite refusing to actually practice it. See if any redditors who actually bother to use their brains take you seriously.

As a male with bpd I'm a little offended. It's not okay to act like this, and I participate in a support group and have met many females with bpd who are definitely not like this. Maybe you shouldn't stereotype something you obviously know nothing about. You're as bad as a woman saying all men are the same.

[–]veggiezombie1 6 points7 points8 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Bpd might be something she has, though it's not excusing her actions. I've only met one bpd person (that I know of) who acted a lot like this. He had a whole bunch of other issues, too, but I'm sure the pretty much untreated bpd didn't help one bit, either.

[–]ohitstryp 4 points5 points6 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Even when I was untreated it wasn't as bad. Bpd people aren't as manipulative as the stigma carries. I spent a lot of time in solitude reflecting on myself though so who knows.

[–]veggiezombie1 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sure that guy was a very extreme case, too.

[–]Akesgeroth 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Maybe I should have specified untreated bpd.

[–]ohitstryp 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Fair enough but even bpd doesn't tend to bring on behavior like this without other problems or experience going on, shed have to have had an incredibly fucked up childhood or something to attribute to that sort of behavior. Thanks for at least recognizing that bpd isn't a soul cause, BPD carries a bad stigma with many due to a lack of understanding or actually being around someone who has bpd that is reasonable as a person to begin with. Lots of people think bpd people are damn near sociopathic but in reality were the opposite and often care TOO much.

[–]Akesgeroth 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not that they're sociopathic, it's their attempts at keeping the people they love close to them which are pathological. The tactics used vary greatly, and this kind of blackmail is just one example. Another I've seen was an older woman pretending to be sick and demented to receive care.

BPD can manifest itself in many ways. This happens to be a typical one. It might not even be BPD. But it's definitely a sign.

[–]ohitstryp 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea its true how bpd sufferers try to keep their loved ones at all costs in most cases. Unfortunately it's like that for most due to the fear of abandonment. Imagine if basically every person that you liked who showed you attention, you pretty much instantly fall in love with as if they are the only person for you. It's an unstoppable feeling as bpd sufferers are extremely emotionally impulsive and logic has no place nor comes into play whatsoever. It's not a controllable thing, every single emotion is intensified by a billion times and is comparable to a toddler who has yet to learn to cope with their emotions. A lot of people who suffer from bpd have no control of this nor do they know they're doing wrong when having not been treated or diagnosed. There are lots of people who are more self aware about it like myself I still get that level of emotional but I know how to handle it most times, with the help of mood stabilizer anyway. I have a hard time not getting angry at myself more than others because I know what I did wrong after I have an "episode", the problem with a lot of relationships where one person has bpd, the other usually lacks the understanding or the patience to deal with it then talk about it later after we return back to our rational states, and that's not anyone's fault in most cases and it sucks for both parties. Bpd people are more likely to harm themselves out of hatred for their own actions and feeling like its their fault someone is leaving them, more than the actual person leaving them. We blame ourselves constantly for things that wasn't our fault that happened 5 years ago. I've been in an abusive relationship where she would always blame me for things and hit me, it took a long time to learn that she was abusive and I wasn't at fault for a lot of things, but I still often cant sleep at night because I blame myself. A lot of time people who suffer from things like bpd lack the ability to not only provide a decent perspective but the logic to understand that they need to so that others can understand. [–]Mikeavelli 50 points51 points52 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Feminists advance public policy aimed at protecting women, and allow the behavior exhibited in this post to occur unchecked, either because they don't think it exists, or because they don't care about it.

For example, she threatens to lie about rape and assault because she knows it is a serious threat that will fuck with a man's life. People will still assume he's guilty even if these text messages come out, and she won't experience any consequences for making the accusation.

What is this?

[–]ConfirmedCynic 17 points18 points19 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The whole reason that her threat of saying she was raped is very much a serious, dangerous threat is due to policies and laws that have been put in place as a result of feminist advocacy.

[–]Mikeavelli 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It's certainly not the total cause, and I actually agree with you that the threat is wholly overblown. We've got a lot in common with more moderate feminists.

But, the organized group that actively and visibly lobbies for this sort of thing is feminism.

For comparison: Why do democrats attack the republican party for being pro-life? A huge portion of the population supports restricting access to abortion, but the political force lobbying for that to become law is the republican party, so it bears the brunt of the attacks.

[–]elwahrio -5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But, the organized group that actively and visibly lobbies for this sort of thing is feminism.

Visibly lobbies for weaponised fake-rape accusations? I must have bad eye-sight, because that's not what I see.

Can you please provide some examples of remain feminism actively and visibly promoting this?

[–]Mikeavelli 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

No-one actively lobbies for weaponized rape accusations. They lobby for lower standards of proof in rape cases in order to convict more rapists, which has the unintended consequence of allowing for weaponized false accusations.

In washington state, for example, consent was an affirmative defense to the accusation of rape until this year. Meaning, you had to prove consent, it wasn't something the prosecution had to disprove.

http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/washington-supreme-court-shifts-burden-in-rape-cases/

If you go to look up the groups and individuals who criticise the decision, they consider themselves feminist, or inspired by the movement. They're also lobbying for similarly unconstitutional laws in other states, like the famous 'yes means yes' laws in california and new york.

[–]Senuf 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Visibly lobbies for weaponised fake-rape accusations? I must have bad eye-sight, because that's not what I see.

Well, perhaps they don't lobby for fake rape accusations, but most feminists (especially the most KNOWN AND media-intensive players) claim that fake rape accusations should not be met with any significant penalty because that would deter real rape victims from stating eventual valid accusations (which is a fallacy). Au contraire, that lack of punishment/penalties, in effect, encourages women who want to make a fake accusation because they know there's a whole strong movement that will fight against any severe repercussion on their shoulders.

[–]Endless_Summer 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So the whole "listen and believe" bullshit isn't feminism? Because that's literally the whole reason why she can even make the threat of accusing him of rape. She knows her story will be believed at her word, directly as a result of toxic feminist activism.

[+]EvilCorpInc 11 years ago [recovered] (4 children) | Copy Link

These are separate movements, for seperate genders, with separate issues to deal with.

[–]pigi5 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You're totally right here. Part of the reason we don't see feminists that agree with a men's movement is that the feminists we do hear, being the loud ones, are often radical and non-representative of the whole of feminism. For example I know a non-vocal feminist that supports selective-service for women. She seemed very egalitarian when I challenged her on things that seemed weighted in women's favor.

What is this?

[–]Idk-my-name 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree wholeheartedly. But the problem is when one group's interests contradict with the others. For instance, there are many feminists who would say that false accusations shouldnt be punished because that can discourage real victims. For us, as men, thats not good enough. We want to prevent false accusations, and a good way to do that is for there to be some repercussions for false accusations.

So here we as two groups want two different things. So i hope you can see how we as a group can point our finger at them for this being possible, and vise versa, if that were the case.

[–]ExpendableOne 13 points14 points15 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

We need to realize, as a movement, that feminists are not the enemy.

Again with this fallacy. Feminism might not always be directly at fault for bad behaviour. Misandry and bad behaviours from women predate feminism. None-the-less, feminism is still entirely responsible for defending a lot of those bad behaviours from women and promoting a lot of toxic attitudes that are entirely related.

Feminism has always portrayed women as being oppressed and subjugated by men, and have a long history of vilifying men and male sexuality, which are both often used as a justification by a lot of women to do bad things to men. Feminism has also a long history of twisting facts and reality to justify any kind of bad behaviour from women. It has also worked very hard to promote the notion that women can pretty much not be held accountable for their actions, and that women should be believed and protected at any cost, which not only already plays into societies pre-existing chivalry problem but also creates a social environment where women can essentially get away with almost anything(hence why women like this end up taking these bad-behaviours completely for granted and acting like they aren't a big deal).

Not only that but feminist propaganda has, for a while now, dominated the gender discourse, and they have proclaimed themselves to be this authority on all matters of gender equality despite basically doing everything to avoid looking or addressing bad behaviours from women(which basically makes them incapable of dealing with these issues equitably and also makes anyone they have influence over that less capable of properly identifying and addressing these issues).

Turning a blind eye to all the shitty ways that feminism has affected society is not helpful. Pretending like feminism isn't a problem is not helpful. Distorting all facts and reality to paint feminism as something it isn't, for the sake of political correctness, is not going to help anyone.

[–]pigi5 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the major point is that we shouldn't let the movement be about hating feminists. Sure, lots of us do, but it's not about that. It's about making sure the public is aware of men's issues.

Three questions:

1) Were you fucking her before? Not that this excuses her behavior, but you can't follow the game if you don't know the players.

2) Why, oh WHY, would a woman ask for his sperm like that? "No condom, no pulling out", what the fuck?

3) If you were to agree to her terms (which you aren't, but hypothetically), and then you pull out or somehow do not ejaculate into this woman, would it be considered rape? I mean, if someone agrees to sex on the contingency that certain acts be performed during it, if those acts aren't performed by the conclusion of intercourse, does that void consent?

I mean, if someone agrees to sex on the contingency that certain acts be performed during it, if those acts aren't performed by the conclusion of intercourse, does that void consent?

No, the whole point of consent is that pre-set conditions don't hold, only ongoing willingness. For instance, if a woman told a man that if he ate her out she's blow him, then she didn't blow him, that wouldn't be rape. And if he said ge planned to marry her after having sex, then didn't, that wouldn't be rape. Shitty things to do, but not rape. You can't look at it like a contract, with all conditions laid out before hand. Unless you're talking legal prostitution, but even then anyone could break it off at any time and the remedy would be a refund, not performance.

A friend of mine has an ongoing situation like this; deranged woman franticly trying to win the attention of him leading to stalking and other weird things.

They were never really more than acquaintances but she managed to string this fantasy world together, based on little more than trying to return this old scabby jumper to him (he found a hoodie in a bar and let her have it because it was cold).

Years later, she's constantly texting him from a rotating battery of SIM cards, begging to return this crappy hoodie (and wanting sex, a relationship, babies, etc.).

When you think about it, I kind of feel bad for the woman because she's clearly mentally ill and obviously distressed. It's a shame then that her actions are causing even more grief to others.

Not that it absolves her of responsibility, because she clearly had capacity, but I think there exists a difference between those with delusional fantasies uncoupling their perception of the world from reality, and sociopaths who simply lack any empathy for who they are hurting.

The ONLY option for men against crazy women is the "suicide defense".

When a woman calls the cops , do everything in your power to convince them that this woman is suicidal. The only reason why I tried to restrain this woman is because she tried to commit suicide! This has not been a one time occurrence , this has happened multiple times! I seriously love this woman but she needs help! She has tried to kill herself multiple times! I just love her and want her to get the help she needs!!

I've actually done this before and trust me it works. When the woman freaks the fuck out , it will literally just prove your point.

woman screaming "I DID NOT TRY TO COMMIT SUICIDE! FUCK YOU!!!" * STARTS TO ATTACK YOU* This will literally happen in about 95% of cases.

It's all about using their "manipulation" against them - and believe me - it actually works!

And yet, this sort of thing does happen in real life.

[–]Dakrys 5 points6 points7 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ok but does that excuse this transparent bullshit circlejerking? This is exactly why mens rights aren't taken seriously. Because it just devolves into this precise brand of edgy hatesturbating.

Do feminists circlejerk over clearly fake exchanges like this? Probably. But they're already established as the socially/morally "correct" ideology. Be better than that.

The second she said she was going to hurt herself just so her rape story would be taken more seriously he should've called the hospital, police or whoever the proper people are to report that she had made credible threats to hurt herself and tried to get the her placed on a 72 hold in a facility with padded walls. That woman-child is off her rocker and needs some serious psychological help and almost certainly some powerful medications.

Until the day when things like this are no longer allowed to fly every one of us needs to cover our ass's at all times. She is a perfect example of what is wrong with our society these days. With the way things are going it's only going to get worse before the scales finally tip too far and start swinging back the other way. I'm waiting for the day I read an article about a man getting thrown in prison and registered as a sex offender when some loony woman claims he "raped me with his eyes". That should sound like some asinine idea these days. Instead it sounds more like just a short ways down the road from where we stand these days.

[–]MRA-automatron-2kb 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe this text because there was story a few months ago on this forum of a young man who spent a year in jail waiting trial for raping young women and the women were bragging on Facebook about how they were going to get him etc.

[–]jeff233 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is a sad commentary on society when a woman wants to manipulate and possibly infect a man with STDs and then threatens to expose and cry rape if he doesn't go along with her plan. This is awful because it diminishes the seriousness of an actual rape victim, and this deranged shrew is really only hurting herself in the end.

[–]CaptainRandus 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm seeing an outright dangerously low count of posts calling this like it is - a fake screengrab.

While it's great to hate on specific women who do awful things, it has absolutely nothing to do with this sub. This is the shit that feminists see and evaluate mensrights by. Way too many of you are willing to believe that this actually happens.

Before I get spammed by all, like, three recorded instances of something similar - I'm positive that I will go my entire life without having this happen to me. If you feel otherwise, you are afraid of women. There's no way around it.

[–]QUSHY 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Way too many of you are willing to believe that this actually happens.

You really don't think this happens? Fake screengrab or not, it still happens.

I'm positive that I will go my entire life without having this happen to me. If you feel otherwise, you are afraid of women.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Who knows? You don't. And even if it doesn't happen to you, there are still billions of other men in the world who could experience it. This has nothing to do with fearing women. That doesn't even make sense.

[–]Dakrys 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Give me five sources from the last 10 years worldwide.

[–]QUSHY 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

How the fuck would I know where to get private texts between people? You're assuming that every single case has been posted on the internet. It's ignorant to think that this situation has never happened. Like, really really ignorant.

[–]Dakrys 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

How the fuck would I know where to get private texts between people?

You wouldn't. You shouldn't need to. If this "happens" like you're claiming, there will be news stories about it. At least from local news agencies.

It's ignorant to think that this situation has never happened. Like, really really ignorant.

I never said it hasn't. I'm just wondering if you can back up your bullshit.

Look dude, you have no right to be defensive. I'm calling out bullshit. It's not your bullshit, and it's not even necessarily OP's bullshit, but it's certainly someone's bullshit. If this sub has any common sense, they will stop upvoting and circlejerking over what is by its very definition propaganda.

If a feminist sub boosted up some bullshit story about a man who, say, raped a woman and threatened to kill her if she said anything about it, everyone here would be defensive and hating on feminists for acting like "all men" were like that.

The difference being that feminists would be circlejerking over something that's well documented and represented in actual data. This particular mensrights post is not documented or represented in data. The reason is that the above scenario does not happen at a rate that warrants a reaction. There might be 100 women on the planet who would or have behaved this way. Maybe more, maybe less.

Regardless, here you have absolute fiction and everyone here is reacting exactly like an SJW would. And that's just pitiful.

[–]QUSHY 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

You wouldn't. You shouldn't need to. If this "happens" like you're claiming, there will be news stories about it. At least from local news agencies.

Again, that's assuming that every incident is reported to the news. It seems more like a personal problem than anything.

I never said it hasn't. I'm just wondering if you can back up your bullshit.

You're acting like it's never happened! Lol come on dude. In the history of ever you think this shit hasn't/doesn't happen? Especially in this day and age where tact and class aren't exactly traits people cherish anymore.

Again, you can't say this is fiction as fact. It probably is. It most likely is. But still, you can't say that for a fact.

The thing about collecting data is that it needs to be reported. Who are you going to report a text saying "cum inside me or I'm gonna tell your wife we're fucking" to? Most likely your wife. Not the local news. It's not really news. Like I said it's more so a personal problem.

[–]Dakrys 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Again, that's assuming that every incident is reported to the news. It seems more like a personal problem than anything.

I'm assuming it's been reported at least once, which you have yet to prove.

Honestly dude. Either back up your claims or admit you're wrong. There is no middle ground here.

You're acting like it's never happened!

I'm acting like there's no reason to assume this has happened. You're deflecting to "probably" reasoning which is some weak ass sauce.

Especially in this day and age where tact and class aren't exactly traits people cherish anymore.

/r/lewronggeneration

“The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.” -Socrates

The thing about collecting data is that it needs to be reported.

So your reasoning is that the complete and total lack of data you have on this is a result of non-reports? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the exact same thing as feminists exaggerating non-reported rape? If this situation has any basis in fact, there would be some reports. I've literally seen more proof that bigfoot exists than the above.

Who are you going to report a text saying "cum inside me or I'm gonna tell your wife we're fucking" to?

Probably the police, because that's called blackmail. Especially if it continues down the road of OP's post.

Look dude: put up or shut up. I'm subscribed to /r/mensrights and I think this thread is hateful, speculative, and frankly a little sexist. The fact that so many people here are 1. buying into the bullshit story 100% 2. upvoting and commenting on a picture that has absolutely nothing to do with mens rights, and 3. incapable of defending themselves against the absolute most basic scrutiny (i.e. put up or shut up) is absolutely sickening to me.

Don't be the last straw for an ally to abandon the cause. Stop propagandizing, back up your claims in any way whatsoever, and don't challenge people who try to bring the sub back to a productive discussion.

[–]QUSHY 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm assuming it's been reported at least once, which you have yet to prove.

That's such a baseless assumption though! Lol fucking Christ. Who says it hasn't been reported?! And why the fuck would it be reported?! It's not news worth. I'm sure little Sally fell down and scraped her knee at Jimmy's 10th bday party, but just because it hasn't been on the news doesn't mean it hasn't happened. THAT'S your logic.

There IS reason to assume this happened because it's not a very unlikely scenario! At all!

I have NO idea why you think this is a news worthy incident and why it'd be reported. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

[–]Dakrys 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

baseless assumption

Read that again for me please. Specifically the "baseless" part.

Baseless: adj. without foundation in fact.

You have no facts. Your claim that OP's scenario "happens" is the very definition of a baseless assumption.

Let me give you some perspective on how this conversation has gone.

Me: I don't think this happens.

You: OF COURSE IT DOES!

Me: Interesting, I'd like to learn more about that.

You: YOU CAN'T BECAUSE THERE'S NO EVIDENCE CUZ REASONS!

If you can't produce evidence when asked for it, you can't just keep arguing. You're literally expecting me to take your word for it and that's ridiculous. I'm not particularly interested in your rationalization for not having evidence.

And honestly? I'm willing to bet that women have blackmailed men into sex/conception. But because I haven't seen any evidence for it, it's false until proven true. That's how the world works kid.

I'm also willing to bet that you googled one set of keywords, got through maybe two or three pages without a result that backs up your claim, then gave up and started rationalizing. But like I said before, that's just speculation.

[–]PacotheBold 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She could have been drunk or high when she did it. I have similar texts from my ex just a month ago. I also have recordings of her threatening me and vids of her being violent.

This sounds terrible. But I'm not sure how this is relevant to general men's rights issues.

[–]antimater-3 points 11 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

OP here. The radio and TV stations seem to normalized this kind of women behavior at their political advantage, from those political mafia psychopath only a men can be bad(a lie and they know it, but are willing to used this). This can be used by evil politicians like the Fox News affiliated one, like the last Trump Kelly scandal, which finally was at the advantage of Trump(Good, even if Trump is far from perfect, at least he says what he thinks to an already recognized before as dumb person (Megyn Kelly)). From now, I think it's just political, woman cannot be attack, it would be considered rude and anti-feminist. Even Mrs. Kelly has recognized her defeat today and pledge for M.Trump now.

At the defense of woman, woman have a vagina(+liquid leak) +children's which add a lot lot of trouble in life for them(I am not joking, it's not easy). No, It's not a reason to used them as an easy political tool like last week FoxNews(not this week), it's just the nature, men are as good, it depend the person not the sex.
