I asked why men cared that women on Okcupid thought 80% of men on Okcupid were unattractive.

Half the replied were this:

“Mainly two reasons: A. Men care a lot about fairness, and the 20/80 rule is the most unfair thing about dating right after cheating. B. Men also care about fixing problems, and the 20/80 rule has the potential to fuck up societies for good if left unrestricted, let alone when it's encouraged.”

“What bothers me is that women don't admit it, if you bring it up. They say that is a false myth promoted by incels. So I guess that's what bothers men so much, the notion that even though women find 80% of men unattractive they virtue signal to everyone saying that this is not true and get all butthurt about it.”

“We are obsessed with it because it means it is over for most of us. Imagine being a man wondering if you will ever get laid again and then reading that. It is truly terrifying for us because it means there is not much hope left no matter how hard we try.”

“Because it reveals how hopelessly shallow women truly are.”

Here’s the problem with those reasons.

The majority of men do well with women.

Let’s look at some stats in America:

70% of Americans are in relationships and 49% of men ages 18 to 29 are in relationships and that number goes up with age.

Go to eTable5 and you'll see that only 16.5% of men have no sex. If you want to add in the the group that only has sex once a year, that's still only 25% of men. Even if you only want to talk about young men, 60% of men 18 to 24 have sex on a consistent basis.

Even if women truly believe 80% of men are ugly and admit it, who cares? It doesn’t stop men from getting sex and dates. Are men just sitting around, lamenting how unattractive they are after getting their dicks sucked? I doubt it.

Replies I expect to see:

“Cheating’s a problem”

Has there ever been adultery statistics that show women cheat more than men? Because the ones I find always show that men cheat as much or even more than women.

“She’ll leave him for a hotter guy!”

Find me those divorce statistics. Also, men remarry more than women do.
