Men are "supposed" to be these things according to whom? Some ultimate authority on what men should and should not be or just you? It's true that men are embracing more traits seen as feminine than before, but there's no reason why that should be a problem or that you shouldn't respect them. If you can't respect a man who has traits you associate with women, I'd ask you to reflect on how you see women. (Also, being bad with emotions or treating others poorly aren't even considered feminine traits. Not everything you see as bad is feminine.)

Men can be feminine if they want. I prefer slightly feminine men honestly. There are both masculine and feminine men just like there's both masculine and feminine women. You can find and date someone that fits the masculine description and you respect, but you shouldn't expect all men to fit themselves into that mold just because that's what you would prefer.

Also, a lot of this stuff isn't really a masculine or feminine thing, it's just a good/bad thing. Manipulating someone into sleeping with them isn't an inherently feminine trait, it's just being a bad person.

There are both good and bad masculine and feminine traits. As long as someone is mostly good, then I don't care if it's the masculine or feminine version.

Men were not meant to be natural providers. For hundred thousands of years small groups of people worked as teams. The men hunt women gather therory is bs. Women were hunting, men were gathering. After settlements started men and women worked both on fields to make a living. This went on for thousands of years. In the cities both genders were working. There is a list from the 1500's in the german city of cologne that lists 68 Jobs that were exklusivly for women. Men were not allowed to do them.

Only for three to four generations between industrial revolution and 1980s - 1990s it was common for middle and upper class (white) women to stay at home. This only worked because of an agreement like the man works fulltime and provides and the women takes care about the house and kids and obeys. You can think about it whatever you want, but it only makes sense for men when the obey part is fullfiled. This is no lobger Happening.

Umm... Why? Because women have progressively become more masculine in the last half century and abandoned their feminine aspects because they said they were oppressive. So I think it's only logical that men will follow in the footsteps of these paranoi... Ahem I mean stronk trailblazers and starting to show more feminine traits because strict masculine expectations are becoming a burden.

I agree, but…you have to look at the society we’re in. Men don’t look after women anymore, because they’re struggling to look after even themselves. Many of them have poor mental health/self esteem and are secretly miserable/ borderline suicidal. They don’t feel safe within their own bodies/minds…you can’t expect them to make us feel safe when they’re barely holding onto their sanity

As for why or how it’s gotten this bad…many factors. I think our government deliberately created a sick society, because sick and miserable people are easy to control. I’d argue economics is probably the largest component. Most men, if they made more money, and they felt their job gave them a decent amount of respect and autonomy…they’d be much healthier psychologically and be able to step up and look after women, families, and communities. A lot of them are just barely getting by. And even if they are making money, it’s not the kind of work they feel necessarily proud of…just out of necessity in order to pay the bills. Most high paying jobs in the US, at least, require you to essentially sell your soul to Corporations. You’re not really creating anything of value; you’re just helping the rich get more rich.
