Niceness isn't the problem or the complaint. Niceness is a baseline expectation for all people, but it doesn't make someone attractive.

The frustration is that when unattractive men want advice on how to get girlfriends they are told to "be nice, have a shower, get a haircut". This is terrible advice and honestly kind of insulting; if it was that easy incels wouldn't exist.

When you make the claim that being nice gets you girls and then you don't get girls, of course you are going to be angry and resentful. Of course you will expect things from being nice if being nice was explained as the solution to your problem.

I can understand both sides. I have morals and no intentions of treating anyone like dirt or manipulating them but given that I'm not successful with women, I still refuse to change who I am.

That said, I personally grew up with brothers who had a different father. I'm short and bald, they're both the typical Chad. I'm talking they grew up eating colored popcorn and cereal and have always been jacked with good skin.

Some of the way I saw them treat girls growing up was ridiculous. I'm talking really degrading shit. And yet, I swear to God every single weekend they brought a new girl back home.

They've both slept with hundreds of girls and are now both married with families. People adore them.

I'm single and while a good person, hard worker, no vices etc, I'm still short, bald and single.

I tried some of their advice a couple times and just got rejected and called a creep. I gave up listening to them after I turned 16.

I don’t have an issue attracting women, even though I’m an asshole. Why? Because I’m tall. It’s not about being good or moral, it’s about how little weight ethics hold when it comes to women’s attraction. Women often complain about “the bar being in hell” or claim there are no good men, yet I’ve rarely seen them chasing good men. When have you ever heard of a woman being attracted to a man solely because he’s a good person? There’s always a prerequisite.

On the other hand, I’ve known men who would literally fall for a woman just because she’s nice to them. It’s so common that there are countless memes about it. I wonder, though, what’s the meme equivalent for women’s desires; why is it them chasing "asshole"? For all the criticism women direct at men, men are actually the gender that places significant importance on a partner’s ethics when it comes to attraction. Being rude or an asshole is literally one of the biggest “icks” for men.

Please don’t try to convince men that a man’s ethics are a top priority for women. From what I’ve observed, women care most about social validation. They gravitate toward men who boost their social status or provide “brownie points” from society (e.g., high-value men). The best way to understand what women truly desire is to look at the types of men they actively pursue. Are women lining up for good men? Are they having casual sex with good men? Do good men spark their desire?

It’s not hard to find good men, there are hordes of them. What’s hard to find are good men who are also attractive. Most men who worked on their appearance were often overlooked when they were less attractive to most women. I don’t expect these “looks-maxed” men to be kind to women in dating, especially after being treated poorly in the past by women.

So, who do you think has a better chance with a woman, all else being equal: a short guy with a good personality or a tall guy with a bad personality? I’ve seen this dynamic play out countless times, and the tall guy wins every time. Why?

Women’s attraction is heavily height- and looks-dependent. Men’s attraction, on the other hand, is far more influenced by personality.

When genuine moral virtues are completely decoupled from worldly results (and the societal expectation of supposed moral people not having expectation is such a decoupling), it is then expected that the amoral/immoral will outcompete the moral in worldly/material matters. And since most people are middle of the pack (in that they react to worldly/material structures to a certain extent), they'll only abide rule/norms at around the level set by the society (one in which consequences are meted out for not following).

As much as i don't apreciate nice guys accepting scraps, i have to say red pillers are far worse on the doormat department because how they replace everything about themselves with whatever the red pill teach. As a example, red pillers talk about gym as a form of self improvement, but they never do strenght training, boxing or anything that is not bodybuilding, because bodybuilding is about looking good for women and nothing else if they don't intend to be professionals, they even accept to reduce their lifespan by taking steroids, all this for just women. They change the way they talk and dress too, abandon the hobbies they actualy like to do "alpha men things" instead, risk their life savings on crypto in a attempt to get rich fast because the chad head on a lamborguini with a 20 years old girl meme and so on.

Nope. People here just want a girlfriend and/or want their friend(s) to get one. That's literally the only thing. They want someone they find attractive to love them back. And they view themselves as a nice guy. That's it.

The dudes here are simply struggling and don't know what to do to fix it. And in most cases instead of trying to figure that out, they give up mentally and just blame their misfortune on random things which really don't matter.

They are losers. They don't just "get no thanks/reward" they are actively mistreated and punished for this behavior. Heck, even if women clearly refuse it to see it, the suicide stats, "dead inside eyes" and "almost crying face" they constantly sport is more than enough proof of that. These people are down right miserable.

Why is it an issue though? There are some self-reported good guys who say that being good isn’t as important as women often claim it is. You suppose that they say it because they secretly want to be abusers and mistreat women.

First, I don’t agree that they say it because they are secretly wannabe abusers. Their claim “being good/nice isn’t important for attracting women” says little about their motivations. You need to apply some serious projections to conclude that from their claim.

Then, even if really are wannabe assholes, why is it the ‘issue’ for you?

Yeah, they will jump through endless hoops to insist the problem is anything but their personality. When they can blame their face or their height, then it's not their fault. But if their personality is what's unattractive, then they have to face the fact that it really has been them the whole time.
