Eventually he'll get enough upvotes and approval that he'll feel validated enough to act on it. If not his own daughter, he'll start grooming her friends.

There is no point confronting him, he'll lie, and she's heartbroken enough to want to believe it, and then they'll go back to normal except she'll have no access to his devices.

Don't tell him you found the accounts, save every related post and if you can, archieve them (so that there's a timestamp and he can't get out of this saying "I never said that. Those screenshots are clearly fake.". Then, go straight to a lawyer. I don't know what the original comments said but if anyone recommended her to CoMMunICaTe, I'm losing my sh*t.

If she plays her cards wrong her daughter lands in 50/50 custody with a closet pedophile who’ll deny it in court and potentially even 100% custody to him because she’s accused of parental alienation and being crazy. Holy shit. That guy is disgusting. I feel so bad for her because there are no good options. If she leaves him, and he has partial custody/ visitation she will always be worried about her daughter.

"Devil's Advocate" assholes are the WORST. I was a lawyer, so I'm trained to look at issues from different sides, and I like to do that to understand people better. But the "let me play devil's advocate" people are ALWAYS assholes who just want an excuse to share their vile viewpoint without being judged.

Defending pedos for funsies or to troll is not okay. I'd be very concerned about the compassion and empathy of a person who gives out harmful advice to young people for kicks. Somehow doing it from multiple anonymous accounts makes it seem even more sinister.

God, this is frightening and so gross. I wonder if he's displayed other red flags. Maybe not about child abuse but just being a combative asshole I'm normal discussions?

I don’t believe this woman when she says there weren’t signs before that would make her think he could be a pedo or into little girls. I have a pedophile uncle in my family (god bless my distant family so nothing happened to me) and his wife just found out after 20 years of the rest of the family knowing and not telling her (he assaulted a couple of my cousins). There has ALWAYS been signs he’s a pedophile, every person that saw them just played the naive card. The legal definition of a child is anybody under the age of 18. The age of consent being lower than this does not negate this fact. In practice it means 16 and 17 year old girls being abused are poorly served by police and social services but the legal foundation to act against their abuse does exist.
