I just...I know I shouldn't expect an attempt at empathy from this guy. But maybe, just maybe, it's not really about the bedframe. Maybe women are reluctant to get involved with men who care so little about themselves and their own environment.

If they lived in a culture in which bedframes were considered a luxury for some reason or most people didn't use them, it wouldn't be an issue. But for a man who makes a decent living to just not bother with this incredibly basic aspect of comfort and aesthetics, what does that say about him?

Is he gonna get up early on a Saturday to get first dibs on awesome produce at the farmers market, or is he gonna whine that it's too much trouble and he just wants mini corn dogs?

Is he gonna splurge on a nice bottle of wine for a special occasion, or his he gonna whine that Two Buck Chuck is just as good?

Is he gonna help me search for deals on nice sheets and a comforter so we can have an relaxing, cozy bedroom to unwind and get frisky in, or is he gonna complain that his itchy t-shirt sheets from college are just fine, and he'd rather just buy a new gaming console?

Is he gonna travel with me and try new foods, or is he gonna whine that it's too much and he'd rather stay home and play GTA?

He thinks getting a bedframe will fix the problem, because he thinks the problem is women not wanting to fuck him, and not that he's boring and childish. I get that sex is fun but good lord. Is it really the only thing that matters? Good luck with that.

My first bf when i was 18 was a hoarder. His room was filled to the ceiling w shit and I flat out refused to have sex with him. My mom was very strict and didn't allow boys over so him coming over mine was out of the question. I told him that hanging out in his living room or in his car wasn't gonna cut it and if he wanted to spend time alone with me, he needed to live like an actual human being and clean up his shit. Long story short, he cleaned his room, got a new bed, brand new bedding, and his room was always orderly and clean when I came over.
