I love the way some men can make you feel so safe and protected. How reliable some of them can be and how they can stay rational and do what needs to be done. I wouldn’t have to worry about anything other than how to keep him happy. Even when discussing problems with intelligent women it often turns into a worry fest over trivial things. It’s fun to talk about everything and nothing with a woman but it’s so much different from the way a man just solves things

What I love about men, more specifically my man, is that he is always down for anything. Men are easier to hangout with. He's cool with getting dressed up and going on a date or he's down to just sit home and play video games. Women, not so much. It's hard to pick an activity, or a place to eat or where we're going, what we're gunna wear, and then when we do hangout they mostly just gossip about other women and I just hate it. Men don't do these things. If you suggest the beach, they are already grabbing their towel. Wanna get taco bell? Hell yeah. He is always happy and content and comfy doing anything, and even when we're doing nothing and it's silent and we're playing on our phones separately, it's better then hearing about what Becky's baby daddy did this week or who Trisha fucked last night. .

A women cam make you feel at peace and safe with nothing but her words and her touch.

I think there are a lot of things that I love about women that someone who is gay would think about a man. But I'm not gay, so I think about women like this.

Most men want to help. Even as a married mom I had a guy the other day basically beg to carry my stroller down the escalator when I could just use the elevator. Old dads have offered to fix my car if they see something wrong like not enough air in the tires at the gas station or wherever. As a woman i don’t usually go helping random people I’ve never met but it’s so nice when men do that for me out of the blue.

All men are like super humans, their strength is amazing. I can spend so long trying to drag some heavy thing along and they just pick it up like it's nothing. It's so comforting to be around a guy, and they're always so protective and helpful. I know the world has higher expectations for men and less tolerance for them when they're unsuccessful, but most of them take it in stride and raise up to the challenge even though I feel like they're totally justified in being more whiny about it.

I love how many men hurry to hold doors for me or help me lift heavy stuff.

I love how many men whose wives stay at home with their kids say she has the harder job.

I love the male gaze when it's not predatory. I put work into looking cute, so a guy who lets me know he appreciates the view in a kind way without expecting anything in return is awesome.

I love that men do things like install my electricity, build the homes I live in, catch the fish I eat, fix my elevators, etc. Women do those things too but those professions are all over 90% male.

Basically thanks to the people who work dangerous jobs so I can live a comfortable life. And men are far more likely to work those dangerous jobs.

I think men are good at steadying the boat, especially when it’s being rocked by high levels of emotion.

In my experience men have been friendly and helpful; IRL fewer men have been rude to me than women.

And sexually, with the exception of one person, men have been fantastic at providing pleasure and responding to what I like.

I love men. People on here think I’m like a man hater but in reality I’m here because I want to understand the men in my life better. I don’t ever want to actively wrong them or play them even though I have been guilty of it.

Some things I love about men is there sense of protection and duty. Women have it too, but idk all of the men in my life my dad, brothers, friends, coworkers, even men off the street, I feel like if something scary or intense went down they would try to protect me. And it just comes from a place of duty and dedication to protecting people who are vulnerable. I think that’s really nice, even more so because they don’t have to protect me, but I know even the men on here who hate my guts probably would protect me if it came down to a life or death situation with complete fearlessness

I love men for their sense of humor. I hate the women aren’t funny jokes, but I get it. Men just have a way of putting things sometimes that’s different than women. I love that they can find humor in things that are unexpected, even morbid. Being around my guy friends is just fun in a totally different way than being around my girlfriends

I love that the men in my life are often more logic and solution based than the women in my life. That’s what brought me here originally. I’m a typical women, sensitive, emotional, I run hot as far as getting worked up. When talking to many of my female friends it’s easy to get lost in that. We get eachother worked up instead of calming eachother down too often. Sometimes we’re talking about a problem more than solutions. My best boyfriends have been the ones that are like woah chill out emotions are hot right now and you don’t have a good perspective, let’s talk about actual solutions and logistics about your problem and realistic ways to fix them

A lot of women do these things too but these were just a few off the top of my head from the men in my life

Most men really do have a way of making me feel secure and safe. As someone who has been SH/SA’d several times, men have always been the ones to feel for me, and other women tended to blame me for it. I have always felt more affectionate towards guys, and I like how they handle tough things much better than I can. Sometimes I just need stability and someone to be there, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt that in a woman. This isn’t saying that I’m against men telling me their problems though, cause some men have the best way of portraying their emotions. There’s so much more, but I think this speaks for itself. I really, truely do love men.

All the men in my life are a lot easier to socialize with; they’re a lot more straight forward, easier to please, quick to choose activity, location, etc. and in general more spontaneous. I love that! Men are also better planners and more decisive in general. I never hear a “maybe”.

Honestly, feminine women are simply the best. I had a GF once and she was so feminine and did feminine stuff that it made me feel manly AF!

She would ask me to open jars and stuff for her. She would often hug me and tell me that I was big and warm. Whenever we watched a scary movie, she would cuddle into me when she was scared of the stuff in the movie. I honestly loved that so much that I would often propose scary movies just so that she would cuddle into me. She thought I was obsessed with scary movies 😅. I loved that she felt safe with me.

Another example is that ,whenever I came back from the gym, she would touch my arms and tell me that I have big muscles, etc. She would tell me how my forearms were the same size as her upper arms. I loved the fact that she knew I was stronger than her but completely trusted me and always believed that I would never hurt her.

I was at a party once and I got allergic to something in the food and I started throwing up. And there was this girl who helped me unprompted. She helped me to the restroom and stayed there while I threw up. Afterwards, she gave me some medicine from her bag and then once I felt a little better, she also made me some tea (I don't know how she managed to do that in the middle of a party) and gave me a couple of pillows so that I could be comfortable. I asked her what made her want to help me and she said she sometimes gets this "motherly feminine energy" when she sees others who are sick or ill. I honestly felt like she was my big sister in that moment.

Lol , looks like I'm rambling a lot about this. Bottom line, don't be ashamed of your femininity ladies. Guys love it.

i love how vulnerable i can be with with women. they’re so sweet and cuddly. i can literally cuddle/sleep with my women friends. lots of hugs and intimacy. sing karaoke at the top of my lungs. we take care of each other.

i love everything about men. i love having deep conversations. talking about big ideas. men are more futuristic and talk about fun science fiction and technological advances. they like what i like nerd wise. i love how passionate they are when they discuss concepts and ideas. and how excited they are to actually initiate and drive them. my supervisors that are men have helped me immensely with growth. every career move i’ve had, men have been leading the way for me to prosper. how they brute force things into working solutions when women can be a bit more perfectionist.

Taking aside my mother i have only good experiences with my FWB and my current Girlfriend. And i make it short....they grant me energy and drive out of thin air. For both of them i want to be a better man and just do things to make our lifes better and enjoyable in both sexual and nonsexual context. Men's superior physical strength is honestly impressive; as another commenter in this thread pointed out they're like superhumans compared to us women in that regard. When we got a new hybrid mattress which is heavy AF (but also comfy and sturdy AF, for which I highly recommend them!), my husband hoisted it onto the bed frame by himself and he doesn't even work out. Lol the bro doesn't even lift, but he can lift, y'know?

Another cool thing, which stands out to me as an overthinker, is how straightforward dudes are in their thought processes (maybe this one doesn't apply to all men, but I've noticed it in many of them.) They're simple in a good way, quite to-the-point about things.

First, I love how women are not afraid to be affectionate. Not in a sexual sense but how my female friends will hug me or hold my hand, give me the odd compliment, etc.

Those little acts of kindness from women literally can make a man’s week.

I also love when women have mischievous or subversive senses of humor. There is nothing better than a girl who can bust balls while still being a warm person.

Finally, many women can often be amazingly steady and competent in situations like a health crisis or injury. Basically situations where a person needs comfort or to feel cared for.

Like if a guy is freaking out about a broken limb or sickness, women seem uniquely able to put things in perspective for a man without trying to tell him his feelings are wrong or obsessing on “the solution” like many men do.

BUT, in the context of a relationship …

I hate to be the wet blanket but am I the only guy here noticing that women almost all are saying how much they like feeling “protected” (code for tall) by men and also their ability to be an emotional rock?

And I’m guessing that it’s no coincidence that women reveal these things when the context is them being virtuous (ie praising men in some way is the noble thing on this particular thread)

If you asked them in another thread about whether men must be strong rocks (as compared to women) they’d all deny they care.

I’m a female - I love men. I worked with pretty much all guys at my job, and I feel like I had an inside look at how they are. They aren’t passive aggressive, pretty chill for the most part, are very funny, and always were nice to me. They LOVE talking about food… at least around me that was the #1 thing they talked about. The sports, then gadgets lol. Women just seem like they have it out for each other. I never feel as comfortable around women in the workplace as I do with men.

Contrary to a lot of women, I like it when men approach problems with a “here’s how to fix it” attitude. Yes there’s times when I want to vent but I know that eventually I will appreciate and generally listen to his practical advice. And if you communicate clearly, generally they take it into consideration and adapt accordingly, can’t expect them to be mind readers. Women even expect other women to be mind readers sometimes.

I like how men are funnier, more no-nonsense (there is less drama. People say “only pick me girls say that” but there is. With women, if they already are in a group, they are often hesitant to add a new member, or they are immediately sizing you up and if you pose a “threat”/have leveled up they get competitive, or bitchy, there’s a lot of hidden meaning behind what they say. I feel like men for the most part say what they mean, and don’t “hide the ball”) it doesn’t feel like a constant competition if I’m around men. Men generally forgive faster and don’t hold grudges against you forever.

Men also know how to cheer you up if you’re having a bad day in a way that women generally don’t. Yes, women are more empathetic, better listeners, girls’ nights at the spa etc., but there’s something comforting about a guy’s fun jokes, or cute about cooking dinner together/drives together/sports. I feel like men are more protective in general, especially if another man is bothering me/giving me the creeps. Universally men have stepped up in that situation, didn’t matter if he was a young teenager or middle aged.

Oh and thanks for letting me use your arm as a headrest lol, reaching things for me, fixing my car in the winter, being fun to watch movies with etc.

Men have a social decisiveness and an assertiveness that allows them to usually be leaders in personal friendships. If someone goes agaisnt a man, you can bet he's not going to let it slide (unless he genuinely doesn't care because sex is more important). Also, they often choose their goals or mates earlier, like in a study posted earlier thus month about men saying "I love you" first. We can all admire that kind of courage and conviction when it's genuine.

Also, men are determined as hell. Women will flow and adapt very easily when life calls for it, but men will go to the most extreme lengths to get what they want when it's important. There's something beautiful about that.

Umm, also men can be very charming in that blunt and straightforward way. Women can be charming too, of course, but that same sexy energy Benedict Cumberbatch brings when he speaks will very rarely be matched by a woman.
