Same can be said of Jeff Bezos cheating, it’s likely a big contributor as to why his ex-wife got so much in the divorce. I think people cheating or who we fall for is devoid of logic. No, I would not say women (or men for that matter) tend to have affairs for particularly “logical” reasons. It usually seems to be someone who happens to just be around a lot at the right time, like when they are having some marriage trouble. The affair partner may be less attractive than the spouse, because that’s not always what it’s about. Men here frequently overlook timing and proximity in an attempt to systematize and hack the monolithic FemaleBrainTM.

Women do not typically wish to “conquer” more men, no. If anything, that’s a more typically male way of thinking of sex. Some women are attracted to power for sure, but I’d say most of this is still down to proximity, as rich and powerful people hang out with other rich and powerful people.
