Step 1...be very very dependent on having a partner so that you even want this in the first place rather than just to be single and fuck around for a while longer

Step 3 find someone who likes you enough to agree to it...this may mean developing some form of likeability yes that's a big task for some of you

Step 4 half your friends push you away because they know how dumb this is even if you don't

Hahaha I knew a couple where one was allowed to sleep around and the other wasn’t.

But those relationships require a LOT of mutual trust, respect, fantastic communication, and above all a deep and abiding love and care for each other. The relationship would always come first.

Point being it sounds appealing until you realise the absolute work it requires. My fiancée and I are open, and both of us regularly check in to make sure the other doesn’t feel neglected, we have a lot of boundaries in place that we negotiate and talk about, we work really hard on trust and feeling secure with each other, and we NEVER go on dates or meet people if the relationship is in a rough patch. Opening the relationship isn’t just about us. When we bring other people into our lives we are also exposing them to our relationship and to make sure everyone has a fun time we gotta make sure we are functioning well as a unit or the drama just leaks out and affects others.
