I used to think men are "dirtier" because I was raised by women and that is basically what I was told by them, school and culture, which at the same time put sex on a pedestal. Sometimes the pedestal is positive, sometimes is negative, but sex is always put on a pedestal.

Later, logic took over. Sex is very important. Thanks to sex we are here, not love. You can be born even in a couple without love or commitment, so sex is way more fundamental than that, yet the later things are important long run too.

Sex can be used for abuse or men can manipulate to get sex, but so can women manipulate to get commitment or what they want (stop using birth control, refusing sex, etc.). Sex itself is not evil. Not even religions say sex is bad if done in the right context (marriage, etc.).

However, we have now this neopuritan dangerous view that even in marriage sex is kind of asking too much. The man not providing or not talking to the woman is seen as abuse, but for some reason refusing to have sex for over a year it is perfectly fine, even if it is so damaging, specially for men.

This idea of sex being dirty, or men being dirty for wanting sex, is misandry, and it is based on an idealistic and unrealistic view of human relationships.
