Question for men. Exactly what it says on the tin. If you had the opportunity to rape a woman - let’s say she’s your physical type, but not an exceedingly rare beauty, just a generic good-looking girl who can get you hard - and you knew for certain that she would not report it to the police, would you do it? Why or why not?

Would it affect your answer if she wasn’t conscious during the act, or you knew she would not remember it after it happened? In what way?

Asking this in all sincerity as someone who has been raped in the past — particularly interested in the question of whether being conscious and remembering it plays a role in making rape more or less attractive to heterosexual men. Because on the one hand, you have to assume you’re safer if she can’t turn you in, right? But on the other hand, what’s the point of committing a crime of grievous bodily harm if the person doesn’t even remember it happening? I cannot for the life of me understand what makes another person do this, but I feel this sick need to understand. So… does anyone feel like answering?
