I thought the statistics was 44% male, 17% female. no? yeah it has risen too to women, It used to be 13% a few years ago. But the rate of change jumped exponentially for males, while it remained constant for female

I do wonder if everybody involved in these studies identifies as straight, because I know a lot of gen Z women who went through a "phase" of dating other women as a break from men. That probably pumps their numbers up just because most straight guys would never experiment that way.

Because that's not how it works, women generally don't grasp or don't like to accept it but usually the most attractive, powerful men are sleeping/dating with several women at the same time, for example, the crazies story I've heard was a college friend that dated a married man for 1 year lol, so... no, there's no 1 single women for 1 single men. Also is not like the world is 4,000'000,000 dating-age men and 4,000'000,000 dating-age women, in some countries there are surplus of either women or men.

Women have no problem dating far older men, even a decade plus older, long as their looks don't deteriorate much and their income is solid.

You'll be damn shook with what you see today. Good buddy of mine is a serial player. Got a divorce and won't get married again. He's 34 ish and he has girls in their teens and 20s in his DMs cause he's in great shape and hasn't deteriorated in looks much.

That's part of the mating games between humans.

This is a good point. I would say in general, women are interrested in dating the same group of men. Worse, there are some men who manage a lot of women

But I have also heard there is a lot of women who don't date either. They generally have a good support group. There are various things men should take exemple from women (support group, decentering women, healing) that would be benefical for everyone tbh

A lot of these studies are extremely inaccurate anyway. I wouldn't put much stock in the soft social sciences.

People always forget to apply gender specific age preferences in those.

Men tend to date younger while women tend to date older.

It means there is a generational overlap. Young men will be less successful or litterally go into paedophilia territory and young women more successful.

But, getting older, the tendency tends to reverse. Older men will be more successful than older women because ones pool of potential parteners increases while the other decreases.

It's an oversimplification, but the tendency is here.

It doesn't change the fact that lonliness is increasing and social life decreasing in younger generations, though. Women are less affected by that because it's expected of men to do the first move, but it's still increasing even for them.
