Also you’re getting a little mixed up. “Sexpats” by and large don’t want kids, so the birth rate is irrelevant to them.

It always had more to do with income disparity than tradition. I'm from Ukraine and it used to be a huge s Passport bro destination despite not being traditional at all. These guys just want to have the dating life of a rich guy, and go to a country they can be rich in.

Income disparity between countries is shrinking, but there are still massive gaps, and that doesn't see like it's going away anytime soon. Though the countries sexpats go to will likely shift as countries like Thailand become more expensive.

Where I live in theory we are first world in practice there is not optimism for future low salaries terrible work conditions housing market crisis and ridiculous corruption

I would love to have a large traditional family (man in stable relationship) but the prospect of poverty with kids and my kids future being slaves or sex workers for the rich is not appealing

Not really, white skin is still seen as more attractive in most of the world but especially East Asia so a male of European descent going to that country would still find it easy to get a gf there not even considering sex tourism which would still exist because those countries would never rival the west so long as Europe and America remain strong.

Birthrates declining in poor countries is a good thing. It means less teen pregnancies, less abandoned kids, less poor people living in terrible conditions. Less people the government has to support.

I think that sex tourists and "sexpats" are two different groups, driven by different goals and needs.

As a sex tourist, you are looking for sex with locals, often as a part of direct or indirect monetary exchange. As a "sexpat" or "passport bro" you are more likely to be looking for a committed relationship. In both groups there might be people looking to exploit others, as well as people with more genuine intentions, which is why I think forming strict moral judgements on the matter is wrong.

As for the matter at hand, I agree that economic development will decrease the scale at which these phenomenons occur, but I really don't see it eradicating them altogether. The broader context enabling these is complex. Taking out the economic factor doesn't remove the others.

For example, Thailand that's a destination for both (primarily) male sex tourists and "passport bros" has a more relaxed approach to sex work and what Western cultures would label "non-traditional expressions of gender identity" (which are as far as it gets from "non-traditional" for the Thai culture). Even if the economic factors leading (primarily) women to choose this path, the broader cultural and societal context will still exist - white men will still be a bit exotic, which might be attractive to some women, sex work will still be less of a taboo and gender expression will still be a lot less strictly (culturally ) controlled matter.

The Middle Eastern and African countries that attract female sex tourists, even if they develop further, still have a strict cultural taboo around premarital sex. That taboo unproportionally affects young women. That's where the Western tourists come in.

As we've seen, this is only going to be a problem when CERTAIN areas of the world become more developed. Places like the Philippines or Vietnam becoming developed will end this practice, but no matter how developed Nigeria gets this won't affect the movement.

Kinda weird to see this level of optimism in a time period (this being the mid 2020s, for future historian to reference) where there's a growing perception even in the developed world that standards of living are collapsing across the board.

Poverty is not bound to disappear. I wish it were, but the trajectory is clearly not there.

Rich societies have prostitution too, including in large scales. The Netherlands are a destination for sexual tourism, for example.

Sex tourism isn’t going away. The “developed” parts of the world are rapidly undeveloping. Once Europe has a Muslim majority all of the white feminists will be put into the streets as prostitutes anyway. Men from all over the world will have access to them on the cheap. It’s already happening as the Pakistani gangs in the UK were putting these girls up for free use and sometimes didn’t even charge guys money.

Feminists are so unintelligent they are the top group demanding the importations of these guys. Also, poverty is relative. Poorer countries aren't going to vanish. The average salary in Thailand is about $450/month. For young women it's lower.

You’re statement implies there would be no homeless or poor, because you believe the woman are sexpats out if poverty and not because they want to be (many do).

Clearly we still have a homelessness problem in America. The only thing that will change is how much the woman charge.
