Women tell on themselves when they call men gay whenever a man calls them out on objectively bad behavior. Not only admitting that they deem gay men are lesser than them because you wouldn't insult someone as better than you, you try to bring them lower than yourself. Its more interesting when gay men insult straight men like this as well, imagine best you got is to imply your opponent is as gay as you LMAO.

Calling someone gay in order to make them mad is, if not an insult, at least clearly shit-stirring.

Occasionally I see someone make a comment here in debate about men dating women that is a response to some specific comment and seems more meant to point out the incompatibility between that man's expectations in dating and how women usually like to behave, and I'm not always sure that's meant to provoke anger so much as to point out an error in logic, so sometimes I'd give these sorts of comments a pass. It depends on how measured and reasonable the rest of the comment seems.

Because women are largely homophobic and use politically correct undertones to insult men. It's just a more socially acceptable way to call you a f*g without calling you one. The women here will do nothing but hit you with therapyspeak to and doublespeak like the weasels they are to explain their behavior. And to top it all off, look at how entitled women are. They criticize everyone and everything and the moment the shoe is on the other foot now all of a sudden everybody is gay, short, small dicked, etc.

In the interest of interesting conversation, I'll step sideways from the OP

(Because I do think it's terrible to use a slur, and for the record I nearly always paid Dutch when I was dating, I do my half of initiating intimacy etc etc etc)

A deeper frustration may be that sometimes men want women to have certain "masculine" traits, when it comes to sex specifically. How can we talk about this in a more positive way?

It remains true that no demographic has more frequent sex with more different partners than gay men. Although it is seen in some hetero matches, it's far more common for gay men to hookup and test sexual compatibility and then later fall in love.

The reasons why are obviously complicated and there's plenty of individual variation, exceptions, whatnot. But on the larger average, men are tired of chasing and feeling higher libido, is that not a fair statement?

And sometimes, I have heard or read a women in exasperation saying:

Listen, if you're not interested in reading and educating yourself about how women's minds and hearts work before their panties come off, if you want them to act like men, why don't you just go date men? It'd be simpler!

And it comes across as "go be gay already".

Insults are based off of intent. The issue is that alot of people are too cowardly to be bold about it and try to gaslight saying it wasn't.

I mean, it’s always meant as an emasculating insult towards a straight man, whether given by a man or a woman. It’s just more normalized or accepted from women, of course, but it should be just as unacceptable…

My two cents from over the pond. On Reddit, and IRL, I’ve mainly witnessed young men use gay as an insult (a shout back to the 80s) and women (all ages) use gay as a suggestion.

Most of the pilled blokes on this sub genuinely just don’t like women, based on language in comments. If anything, many blokes in here find women repugnant - just read the repeated themes/descriptors from regular contributors. In this post, women are “weasels”, “the avg straight woman . . . is not capable of [being] fair and respectful [to men]”, “nearly all homophobia starts and ends with women”, “the fokken nazis were less homophobic than the average women”, “their [women’s] duplicitous nature”.

It’s reasonable to assume a meaningful personal relationship with women is not realistic or achievable for most of the pilled men on here, based on their negative views of women. So I’m guessing the only interest is in their holes. Men have options to achieve sexual release. If you are talking or commenting of your dislike for option A (women), its not unreasonable that people are going to suggest options C, D, E etc. If you keep repeating the same tired hyper focused contempt towards option A, people will find it tedious and unproductive and start more strongly encouraging you to explore the other options still on the table. Most people won’t root a person they vilify, so if you consistently denigrate an entire gender, it’s normal - not homophobic - for others to suggest you pursuing the holes of the gender you like and admire.

I wouldn't say "maybe you should date other men" is an "insult"(more of a comment that uses the "ickiness" of gayness to dismiss any criticism the man has said about women), but overall yes it's usually an insult and it's ridiculous that they want to pretend otherwise

When women say things like “maybe you should date other men” when a man gives any critique towards women is not said as genuine advice. The entire purpose is to insult men they disagree with.

I always mean it with the utmost sincerity. There’s nothing wrong with men dating other men. And like, a lot of men seem to genuinely prefer the company of other men and don’t really like the company of women. So why wouldn’t people want to date someone they have positive feelings towards and have more in common with? What’s insulting about that?

I've seen some pretty involve posts from guys in this forum about how women are terrible in all ways - not just for not sleeping with them - and how men are better and more interesting and more worthy people in all ways.

My most frequent response is to say something about the problem of men who hate women but want to fuck them anyway. Pretty much guaranteed to fuck up the life of any woman they get involved with. (And they pretty much are only going to get involved with a woman by lying, but they also probably have no problems with that.)

But when there's a lot in there about how men are more attractive, more interesting, better people etc - it sounds like they should at least give it a try?

(ETA: FWIW, I'm bi.)

Most of the time I see comments urging men to date other men is in response to some kind of bashing of women, often accompanied by how much better male friends are. I don't think in that context it is an insult to suggest you try dating the group you seem to like better?

I also do the same with women, endless complaining about men but all praise of women? Same result, I would suggest trying to date women. I've actually done this a couple times and both times the women in question said they've tried but weren't into it. It seems only men get aggressive at the suggestion.

Also can we acknowledge that bi people exist? Suggesting you could try dating men is not calling you gay, and definitely not an insult. That is some childish mentality.

This is women pointing out that the man in question so clearly hates women that it's perplexing why they are trying to date a woman in the first place.

I have never once used that as an insult because there is nothing wrong with being gay.

Asking a man that openly despises women and states that men have more value if he has thought long and hard about where his attraction actually lies is a genuine question because his professed desire for a woman does not align with the way he speaks about them.

If you feel insulted by that, the homophobia is yours.

Serious question Men are constantly saying that women have it easier, dating is easier, access to sex is easier. But women have access to sex with men. Women have access to being penetrated.

If you envy, that it is not an insult to label that as gay

Especially because people can experiment sexually, and if you as a man want immediate attraction immediate sex consistently the reality is it is good advice to try relationships with men over women

Ok, not calling them gay, but here me out: Let’s take the RP/looksmax influencers, and the dudes that follow them and often emulate them

They create a different name than their given one Rolllo, Myron, clavicular, heck even Andrew tates real name is Emory (Andy is his middle name)

Then they make sure to create a certain persona, and it’s all very much an exaggerated or hyper masculine online vibe. They act vey performative to play up the persona they want to portray.

Then they create a very specific look, tight clothing, fancy clothing, and flashy jewelry and watches

But they also make sure to show off third certain body parts, try accentuating things, even take hormones of do hairline surgery of wear hairpieces, and some even post about the makeup they wear.

Which, you could literally use each of the above things to describe drag queens.

So I don’t think we should call them gay. We should just call them masculine drag.

So: you slay, red pill queens!

(Let’s be honest: Looks maxxx sounds like a drag show term anyways)

If it has a negative connotation, good. It says a lot about the man being called gay. The reason it is said is because men are already homosocial so it’s not such a leap.
