In the pill-sphere insults are very common. There is a narrative however that calling men gay, or insinuating that a man is gay, is not an insult.

My stance is that the intention is definitely to insult men that they disagree with.

When women say things like “maybe you should date other men” when a man gives any critique towards women is not said as genuine advice. The entire purpose is to insult men they disagree with.

I know someone is gonna reply in the comment section with “b- but there is nothing wrong with being gay”, sure. That doesn’t change millennia of homophobia. Being gay is stigmatised and it’s without a doubt seen as something negative by the vast majority of the human population.

Technically calling someone “gay” is not an insult, because it’s a way of life, but the word without a doubt has a negative connotation.
