On the reddit manosphere, there’s a common trope of a lady who is in over age 27-34 (so old!!!) who slept with so many Chads in her younger years but now cannot find a good man. The moral of the story is that this ex-Stacy should have gotten married and settled down to the ogles of nice middle class men who were madly in love with her when she was young, and now all hope is lost.

If this is the case, why are these men so picky and judgmental towards women? If there is simply SO MANY of them out there, why is the competition for them so fierce?

I am an “old” young woman: 25. I said here that I would only want a man who makes over $60k a year (or is on track to making $60k a year) because I don’t want my kids to grow up in a zip code filled with crime, gang violence, and shit high schools. I am a studios virgin, make substantially more than $60k a year, and am in good physical shape. Men here told me I want an elite wealthy man, and I was asked repeatedly “what do YOU have to offer this man?”

If there are so many good men that I am ignoring and squandering away my youth by not marrying, then why are their standards so high?

Because there is a shortage of good men. That’s why. If there was an abundance of misunderstood, lonely, good quality men out there, then they wouldn’t be able to be so picky.
