I read a comment on youtube in which a woman stated the following: "Once men understand that money is to women what sex is to men, we can have an intelligent conversation."

This does pass my basic sniff test. Men are wired to want to have sex frequently because it spreads their seed far. Meanwhile it makes sense for women to be wired biologically to maximize their standard of living to ensure their offspring's survival: once a woman is pregnant she no longer gains any evolutionary benefit from continuing to have sex. It's also consistent with how women tend to stop having sex with their husbands in long term marriages.

This hits hard for me because I've always refrained from spending money on girls with the mindset that I'm not her wallet and if she wants me to commit to her then she needs to interact with me as a person and not as a vending machine that outputs money when sex is inserted. But if what I'm sharing is true, then it's possible that I've been totally misunderstanding the game at play here and that making her pay for her half whenever possible is counterproductive.

So what do y'all think?
