This is not a generational thing, young girls have always preferred "non threatening boys" and do not feel attracted to grown masculine men until they themselves are grown. Go back to the teen girl trends going all the way back to the 50's and you notice a pattern.

It's simply a phase and girls grow out of it. All the girls who were into the boy bands of the 90's and 2000's are now grown and when they look back they admit that their tastes have changed. My sister was all into K-pop and the "girlie boy" look years ago when K-pop was still a new thing, now that she's older her preference in men has done a 180 and she would never even consider a k-popesque male as a serious mate today. In her own words: she prefers men that thrill her and display strong masculinity. My kid sister however is still pretty much into feminized boys, she thinks they are "approachable."

Older generations have always criticized the younger as being immature. Going all the way back to those young whippersnappers in the 1920's with their provocative Charleston dance, flapper skirts and provocative outfits which the old prudes at the time swore would corrupt the youth and lead the world into moral bankruptcy. Turns out, great grandma and grandpa knew how to have a good time back in their day 100 years ago.

Every young generation thinks they are unique only because they are too dumb to be aware that their parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were teenagers once too and did the same dumb shit that they boast about first. Just one example: the Ahegao Face, popularized by Belle Delphine. Gen Z think they are so edgy n' shit that they invented all of the modern trends when in fact everything "new and modern" are just copies and rehashes of older trends from sometimes hundreds of years ago, the concept of making a stupid-sexy face - like the Ahegao face - was invented by great grandma and she did it cringier! lol

There is nothing new under the sun.

Dapper, Greaser, Jock, Hippy, Punk, Emo, Gangsta, E-boy whatever the hell you wanna call it, in whatever generation, it's all the same shit: just young people doing shit that they think is edgy when in fact their parents, grand parents, and great grand parents already did it first. Copy, paste, repeat. The Beatles were the K-pop of their day, the Backstreet Boys were the K-pop of their day and so on all the way back to when trends were invented. When Gen Z grows up and become old farts themselves the next generation will re-make some dumb new re-hash of all the old trends in order to feel edgy and spite their parents.

The reason every young generation thinks they are unique is because they are just not old enough to be aware of history and how shit repeats itself. And most young people can't be bothered to pick up a damn book or use their phone for anything other than facebook or snapchat to look up history and be aware of the shit that has happened before. In dealing with Gen Z (which is unfortunately my generation I guess since I'm 24) I notice a lot of them are clueless as to what the hell happened even 5 years ago! They think Lady Gaga is the queen of their childhood and they are clueless as to the fact that Lady Gaga is just a ripoff of Michael Jackson. Gagga herself says she borrowed a lot of her style from Jackson. Compare Alejandro to They Don't Care About Us and see the similarity in the intros. Michael was throwing those woke vibes way before it was even a thing and before it became cringy and toxic.

But enough with the history lesson, you get the point.

My conclusion is that the young do not stay young forever, they grow up! Masculine men are attractive to grown women, little girls are attracted to little boys. Effeminate men are the closes thing to boys that these girls can see and so that is the attraction. They are non-threatening puppy dogs. Young women are not yet at that stage of life where they feel attracted to adult men with adult traits, they are still little girls who only have eyes for effeminate non-threatening boys that they can go "aawww" and not grown men whom they can go "Ohhhhh."

It's a generational thing mostly. I'm 25 and when I was in hs One Direction were popular. When I was in middle school, it was the JoBros. I had a kpop phase back then too, but by the time I was done with college I had very much lost interest in that type. While there are some people who continue to be interested in pretty boys (one of my best friends in her early 30s still very much has that taste) I think the overall reason is age. But at the same time, I do think the younger gen are more open and less constrained by gender norms so it lets those who are more interested in feminine men express it more.

I think it's a natural thing, it's nothing got to do with GenZ. In the 50's and 60's, (relatively) feminine boy bands like the Beetles were all the rage with young teen girls. I personally have a theory that because teen girls aren't fully developed physically, they therefore are biologically wired to be wary of masculine men, who could be dangerous, whereas a frail K-Pop singer is physically less dangerous. As these girls grow, their body becomes capable of tolerating masculine guys, therefore they become more attractive.

Personally I've never been into feminine dudes in the physical sense. Personality wise I don't mind. Even when I was a young teenager, I didn't care about pretty looking guys. Think long haired, rough, sweaty guys, sometimes with beards, or not. They were and still are what I like. Uhhh, I even like the smell of mosh pits. In modern times you have everything from your own job to welfare, so they don't need a certain type of guy, and they're free to choose whichever guy they like. As a 17 year old boy, who is more masculine compared to other boys my age, I never understood this.

People seem to shame you now for being masculine and claim it’s toxic. For example, my ex jokingly asked if she could paint my nails to which I said no. Then I was jokingly called out for having “toxic masculinity”. I don’t think it’s exactly fair to make fun of someone for being more masculine or feminine.

It’s built into our biology. Men are more masculine, women are more feminine. Of course there can be outliers, but this is literally how men and women differ.

At the end of the day, I just naturally tend to have more masculine personality and characteristics compared to feminine. If this is what girls like than alright I guess. However im not gonna change who I am just to attract someone. The oldest rule in the book is to be yourself.

I think one component here that men who are in touch with their femininity are also very masculine.

They don't need to overcompensate on superficial physical traits because thier inner core is true solid and masculine.

TRP has an outdated view of what women find attractive, it's the male gaze assumed onto women. Study after study shows that women find humor, altruism, etc. more attractive than the big buff gym bro.

Generally, culture is also a factor in attractiveness. In the 90s, the skinny blonde girl was the epitome of hot; now a more curvy figure is in.

Personally as a millennial in her late 20s, I was in an LTR with a more masculine, traditional guy 8 years older and the relationship fell apart. He was the definition of rugged strong masculine etc. However, he was unable to share his feelings and had this sort of "strong, silent type thing" which ultimately led to the demise of our relationship (among other things of course). Ultimately we just couldn't communicate on the same level.

My current SO isn't necessarily "feminine" but he shares his feelings readily and is very in touch with his emotions. He's an academic, rugged is the last word I'd use to describe him. I'm very happy in our relationship.

Even if this relationship falls apart (which I hope it doesn't!), I'm never going back to anyone who was like my ex. 🤷

Beta = self reliant, stoic, ambitious, careerist (STEM, law, finance), into fitness/bodybuilding, displays masculinity, believes in sexual dimorphism

The former are attractive to women in their teens and 20s. The latter are preferred by women 30+. If the redpill only want women under 30 they have their ideology back the front.

This has been true in my life too. I have always had a beta image so I have always attracted older women and gotten along better with older women/cougars. Just the way it is I guess.

As others have pointed out that is an age thing, something women grow out of. Or to put it another way, women are usually attracted to the most interesting specimen in their age bracket ie:

- My 56 year old Mom thinks Clooney is hot.

- my 23 year old cousin thinks Bieber is hot

- my 81 yo grandma thinks Sean Connery was hot in his late, silver years.

HOWEVER, there is a statistically important anomaly. The so called Type 2 Very Young Women (T2VYW), girls between 18 and 25 who are attracted to much older men, usually guys only slightly younger than their father. I would say that Type 2 women make about 10% of the female population, so are pretty significant factor. Now, most of them end up as gold-digger wives, escorts, or OF models, but this is often a monetization of their actual desire, not just pure capitalism. In other words, about 1 in 10 of young women actually prefer Silver Foxes, and since they are already are fucking older men, might as well benefit financially from it.

My Co-worker is a good example of this trend: he is 48, and makes as much money as I do (which is, barely Middle Class income). He is however insanely fit, well groomed, tanned and literally silver-haired prematurely. I see him constantly pulling women who are under 25 and pretty, despite definitely not being able to be a Provider for them or to pay for it. Its basically a combo of the girls already having fetish for guys like him, and him being much more experienced and wily than their 20-ish boyfriends.

Seems to me to be similar to what US soccer fans have been arguing for decades now. "Soccer is big among kids and teenagers! It will overtake the NFL, MLB and NBA in 10-15 years!". Personal opinion so should be taken with a grain of salt: Dating preferences of people are mostly political and depends on their goals/frame of mind. There is a very small set of people of both genders/sexes who are universally attractive and then the choices vary. I would also say a lot of people more so women have divergent sexual attraction and might confuse their latent bisexuality for something more socially acceptable. I do like the kpop guys (some) but I realise they look too childish for me and mid 20s guys looking like that isn't something I would be tolerating irl.

In modern society, most men have very few opportunities to act like men. How can you be a man in a 2-bedroom flat or an HOA-plan house? They don't have the chance to act as providers and protectors, and in many cases their services aren't really needed anyway; women have all the bases covered, thanks. So if you don't need a manly man, your next best bet is to go with a man who is as womanly as possible -- he's less likely to mess up your house and may even help with the housework.

It's because young people are easily swayed by culture and fitting in with socially engineered ad media and being on trend etc. Older people no longer have any hope of being cool or in or whatever so they don't give a shit and are more authentic.
