Yup. My family isn't rolling in cash, but better off than most. I had to borrow my dad's brand new truck for a while, and made the mistake of showing up to a date in it.

This loser immediately notices it, then proceeds to make the entire date about how much money he thought I had. He wanted to know how much I make, my dad makes, etc. Even wanted to know how much my dads house is worth. The best part? He confessed that he worked at a fast food chain later on in the date.

Blocked and deleted. Disgusting. My dads truck has a turbo so you can bet I used it to speed the fuck away from that loser.

I had an experience like this too. My dad is wealthy but he made it a point to NEVER share any of it to me and to foster a frugal & ambitious culture (unless we had nice family trips, birthday gifts, special occasions, I had no access to any of his money). My ex, while we were dating, must have been able to sniff out my ‘wealth’ (again, not mine and will never be mine) and used it to 50/50 on dates and desperately wanted to move into my place - a swanky one bedroom luxury flat in London’s financial district with banker residents galore, which my dad gifted me for graduation. I have never flexed my wealth and I’ve also insisted that I’m middle class. Maybe I came off as rich or well off so the LVM was able to figure it out?

I wanted to check if he was a gold digger. So I told him the flat wasn’t mine, and that if he moved in, he would have to float half of the rent. A week later, he dumped me.

Conclusion: SMOKE THEM OUT by saying no. Then see how they react.

Red flag; doesn't have at least 6 months worth of expenses in a savings account for emergencies. This is literally the first thing you do when you get your first job. Shit can go sideways real fast. Moreover, have an unexpected expense savings squirreled away. Car breaks down? Bam. Paid. House needs repairs? Done deal.

Scrotes don't think ahead like this and expect women to pull up the slack. How many men from wealthier families helped a woman out the same way? Not very many.
