Well, I've been hanging out here for a while, despite being married to a man (quite happily), and I would have to say I don't hate men (I sure do love the one I married) and I don't see a lot of other women hating men here.

We hate low-value and zero-value and negative-value men. But we don't hate men.

Our entire strategy, basically, is to avoid the men that aren't high-value, who will drain us mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, and financially if we let them. And many women tend to allow this kind of parasitic activity from men, including many of us when we were younger (I'm guilty of this). Because women have been conditioned to be kind and giving and to put up with poor treatment. So it is something we need to unlearn, and this sub is a great place to emphasize our goals and support our sisters in avoiding being preyed on.

But if you think all men suck, that they all mistreat and abuse and prey on women, then yeah, I guess you'd assume that we at FDS hate men. Sounds like something a misandrist would say.

My teenage son brought up how this sub should be banned the other day.. since he knows I'm a Redditor I decided to ask him to show me a post from FDS that qualified banning.. "Oh yeah that will be easy, they're AWFUL!" he started scrolling but I waited and watched and even suggested he sort by top posts of all time. His face scrunched up as he realized there was nothing ban worthy at all. Looked at me and said wow I guess I'm just a sucker of the hive mind. Then I told him I've been a member for almost 2 years and that hopefully he understands it's a safe place for women and nothing to be threatened by.

Glad I could show him the truth, too bad the rest of Reddit can't pull their head out of their porn addictions to see wtf is up.

I can always tell right away which 5% of FDS posts will be cherry picked by angry men on Reddit versus the 95% of FDS posts men will ignore. Always.

The former is always quotes taken out of context and anything about our standards (just discussions about bare minimum effort tbh).

The latter is literally everything else - including serious discussion about how bad violence is globally against women and how to protect ourselves against murder, rape, and domestic violence.

The haters completely ignore those posts, no surprise.

I found another similar post with this comment about FDS:

They believe that women are inherently valuable, and that their presence alone is enough of a contribution to a date. The man is expected to take her to the fanciest restaurant, pay for everything, pick her up, drop her off, or whatever she asks.

They want women to get the most out of their relationships, in a really calculating and cruel way, and they’re proud of this. Some of them will even make a man marry and buy them a house before having sex with them (for the men who are stupid or “high value” enough to do this.) Of course, most reasonable people see this as mean and exploitative, so a lot of their posts are just about bashing men, to sort of justify it to each other.
