I would geninuelly like to know how I could have dressed myself like a prostiture when I was between the age 3 to 5. While we are at it, what kind of provocative behaviour did I do at such young age, to somehow justify for the abuser to take advantage of me the way he did? Did I maybe say something that provoked the ADULT MALE while I had my classical toddler tantrums, so that he suddenly got a reason to sexually abuse me?

I remember this phone call I has years ago with the man that molested me (at that point I had repressed memories of it, but I felt uncomfortable speaking with him). He told me a lot of times how he liked that I was this chill kid that was able to be for myself, and that I didnt bothered him so much because I didnt say much. What struck me out the most was that how he described how easy I was to deal with, I always obeyed him and since I couldnt speak I had no way to tell stuff to others. All I know from his past is that he was a serbian solider in the was in Jugoslavia in the 90's, and I know they used awful torture methods especialy towards women and children. I didnt learn to speak until I was 5 -6 years old due to me being autistic. That has creeped me out and I have never been able to forget that call. My dad has always found it very suspicious that I was too scared to go the bathroom as an young child, he noticed that I started to act strange after my mother moved in with this serbian ex solider. My das also wondered why I got so afraid of beer boxes in the stores, where he had to calm me down because I cried so much and asked him to not get one, and my dad has never been a big drinker.

Or you have this scenario; what if the young child just wanted to live in a safe enviroment with safe adults, a child that didnt know what sex or anything sexual was at all - and then some ego centric man just starts to feel entiltied to sex that much that he is willing to sexually abuse, molest and traumatize a young child that doesnt even know how the world is functioning at all. Children didnt ask to get born to this world. To experience men that thinks that high of themselves, to believe that their dicks is the most important thing and that as long they are able to get off on something, it doesnt matter who they hurt and traumatize.

As a young girl, teenager and a woman, you know from early on that there are those classical older men that gives you that look like they see just som piece of meat. I have as long as I can remembered, always known that there are these older creepy natsy men that looks at me with that predatory look. A lot of them as approached me and asked me about my age to make sure they were able to use the "the age of consent" as a valid excuse to prey on me. As young as 11 - 12, when I got on the internet, it didnt take long before these old creepy men told me I was so cute and suddenly flashed their ugly dicks to me, a child. I cant count how many times I had older men reaching out to me, to talk about BSDM stuff and tried to make me believe that was normal. It is over 10 years ago, but I have one of those days where I get this intens paranoia where I genuinelly get anxious for these men to find me.

I got exposed to violent porn when I was 8, and I havent been able to forget that at all. My uncle told me to go to the site because it was supposed to be a gaming community. While my uncle laughed, all I saw was this clip of a woman getting violently beaten, chocked and that the dude pulled her hair. She looked so damn terrified. I started to cry so much becuase it scared me so much.

So to that girl that tweeted that dumt shit, please tell me how I as a child, around the age of 3 - 5 were able to dress myself like a prostitue and how I as a child was supposed to take responsibilty to avoid an ADULT MAN to sexually abuse me. What are you going to tell your children if they tell you an adult sexually abused them? Let me tell you something, when I was a toddler, I didnt have anything that would classify as "clothes prostitues wear". I got raped in my ugly stupid pyjamas, and while I used a big hoodie. How you dress yourself has nothing to do with rape at all. How could I as a toddler have asked for an ADULT MAN to sexually abuse me'? I never asked for getting sexually abused as a toddler, as a young child, as a teenager and raped when I was 20 years old.

Want to blame someone? Why not put the blame on the rapist? Why not put the blame on those ADULT MEN that sexually abuses young children? By putting the blame on us who experienced this traumatic stuff, you are actually the one with issues here, not me and other survivors. If you even knew how hard and traumatizing this actually was, you wouldnt even have thought the way you did.

Rape, sexual abuse and molestation is NOT about sex. Rape, sexual abuse and molestation is EVERYTHING about power, to take control over someone elses life, to shame them and to violate their boundaries. Its all about not even bothering giving other part the choice to consent in the acts or not. A rapist doesnt see women as humans, a rapist only see something he can use as a object that is supposed to furfill his sick and pornified needs and dont even care how he gets it. There is no such thing as " rape kink". If someone gets turned on about the idea of rape, get the hell away from them. They know what they are doing, but this stupid society is starting to call everything a kink these days and that is supposed to give them a free pass.

I kinda want to apologize for the long rant but at the same time not. This shit gets me so provoked and angry, why does these kind of women rather defend a rapist and a child molester than the actual victims'?

Luckily I found this sub almost a year ago and this sub is the best female sub to seek advise, discuss topics and support each other. I feel so home in here, I am sure a lot of you can relate to that - I hope that at least.

Either Psychology 101 or Sociology 101 is required to complete GE at universities (at least in the USA). Both cover the fact that rape is about power. If people like this bothered to read a little, they’d see that it’s not just “girls who dress a certain way.” In fact, if I recall correctly, it’s quite the opposite.

This is so stupid. My university held a “What I Was Wearing” art exhibit where anonymous survivors submitted their written stories describing what they were wearing when they were raped. The artists found similar outfits to put on the mannequins. There outfits featured everything from sweats and pajamas to cute “night out with the girls” styles to dresses for toddlers and children. I was so overwhelmed by it that I sat down in there and cried for an hour.

I was raped in my own bed by someone who I thought was my best friend. I trusted him and he betrayed me in the worst way. I was wearing sweat pants and a hoodie. Fuck these victim-blaming assholes. It’s not about lust. It’s about power.

it's not the clothing that motivated or spurs rapists to act. Rapists will rape anybody but choose their victims based on ease of access and likelihood of not getting caught, reported, or prosecuted; eg. children, women alone or in a remote area, and those who dress provocatively.

Well, the pick-me that made that comment doesn't know what the future holds. Fuck women that think like this. When that story broke about Marilyn Manson having a history of being sexually abusive toward women, the comments section was full of these idiots blaming the women because they should have seen it coming by his persona. And I am sitting here thinking, "Great job, ladies. You are posting with your full name and a picture of yourself about how it's the woman's fault, where all these bottom-feeders with the same mindset can read it." The irony is that, by thinking this way, they've just increased their chances of breaking their lucky streak by attracting the sort of attention that they feel superior for having dodged so far. I know many women that speak like that pickmeisha. It gets worse after they have daughters. I'm convinced they're desperate for a way to control what they can't control.
