With how bad the economy is, I think a lot of women are going to be more open to sharing a millionaire or billionaire that can provide for them than a guy on their level. If you’re a woman, it doesn’t seem like a bad move. You don’t have to enter the workforce and can instead comfortably raise a family.

Oh boy, what I've always wanted! To be a rotating pussy with no safety net, unable to provide for myself independently so the man has complete control over my life.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a dystopian reality. The millionaire athletes, actors, and successful businessmen get multiple women to marry while most average guys are forced into lifelong celibacy.

The math ain't mathin on any of this whatsoever. Nor does the idea that the men who meet these qualifications and who would be okay with this would support average and below-average women and their children indefinitely. Leo won't even marry a hot woman in her prime, yet I'm supposed to believe there's enough millionaires and billionaires willing to share their resources indefinitely with hundreds of millions of aging average and below-average women? Come on.

Heck, it seems like it is already happening now with most young men being single and most women in relationships.

Unless the men most women are in relationships with are millionaires and billionaires, I fail to see the relevance to this post, and there have already been a million posts explaining and debunking this anyway.

Degenerates like Drake or Future or some other rapper already basically have harems with multiple women. However, humans tend to be monogamous, at least for a certain period of time, when it comes to serious relationships. they don't want to share. neither women nor men. true meaningful relationships are strong bonds between two people. polygamy is on the rise, and sure there will be and already are top x% males (not necessarily millionaires) with more than one woman, but it will never be common

You don't have to wait until the future, con can already see this in western cultures with high levels of inequality. You can also look at the past in your own culture, where men used to be sole providers.

In these instances, a cheating man is tolerated more sometimes. Better to have a cheater with money than being alone if being alone means abject poverty.

I hope not but if we give millionaires/billionaires the sexual power that way then I do think that would be very bad for women involved with them. You’d be replaced for looking over 22 and they likely wouldn’t marry you.. So you would be financially fucked as soon as he found someone more attractive. Not all rich men are bad people but there is a reason people in power tend to be sociopaths, they are good at what they do. Which is why women shouldn’t give up their careers for men. Even if I am comfortable in my relationship to do just that I would never advise other women too.

Polygyny has been normalized in the West since the sexual liberation in the 1960s. In fact its been going on forever, just on a smaller scale (a lot of European royals, for example, had multiple mistresses on the side).

The only thing is that women tend to age out of informal harems. If I was a man who could get just about any woman he wanted, why wouldn't I just keep mostly younger and prettier ones on the roster? Aging ones would have to have to be stand outs to stay outs to stay in rotation.

I think the proliferation of informal polygamy for the last 50 or 60 years is the reason why there are so many women in the West outraged at age gap relationships, pornography, and just male heterosexuality in general.

I think a lot of women share the same small number of men when they're younger and then end up bitter towards men when they're older.

It is a minority that accepts this type of relationship and, almost always, it involves an emasculated man who has some insane fetish related to being a cuckold.

Casual sex will be the default and, therefore, relationships will tend to end the way we know them.

The only way polygamy will become socially accepted and legal in the United States of America is if women start having multiple husbands/wives on the regular. Then they'll make it legal for everybody.

This is because the male dominated version of a polygamist household has so many well-earned toxic associations with human trafficking, incest, pedo stuff, and whatnot because almost every cult leader ever has started to advocating that they should have a ton of wives and then before you know it all the unpleasantness is happening.

But if women start having polygamist households that sent around a matriarch at the top of the pyramid and that becomes a common enough thing that they start pushing for marriage equality then there will be a chance of polygamy becoming legal because there's basically no historic or contemporary examples of a matriarchal polygamist household having that sort of toxic s*** happen. (No I'm not saying women can't do evil s*** like that I'm just saying it hasn't happened insignificant enough numbers and there hasn't been a case that has captured the imagination of the media so it's not really part of common cultural knowledge.)

That's sad, behind closed doors what you're describing is happening right now and has been happening everywhere for a very long time.

It's called a political marriage or a marriage of appearance. (Not to be confused with a more standard swinger open marriage or Trifecta or ethical non-monogamy or A polyamorous click.) Typically the more famous or rich or powerful person in the marriage is allowed to have extramarital affairs/mistresses whatever you want to call them. All parties involved agree to it and work to keep it hidden from the prying eyes of the public.

There are even marriages where both parties in the marriage have people on the side consensually. For example when the whole Monica Lewinsky Bill Clinton thing came out there were many "anonymous sources" from within the White House and from within the Clinton's personal friends and family circle, who alleged that both him and Hillary had romantic partners outside of the marriage and that they had an understanding but Bill had screwed up by not being discreet and picking a partner who was not discreet. Similarly I'm sure you've heard about how basically everyone in the Kennedy family had open marriages and JFK and his spouse routinely had romantic partners outside of their marriage and what not.

I think that it's more likely that more women will express bisexuality and live with each other and pool their resources than that they will consciously choose to be in polygynous situations with rich men. Surveys do show that more Generation Z women are identifying as bisexual.

It won’t be normalized because most women are not very rational. Women tend to operate on feelings. That’s why there is a saying: watch what women do, not what they say. When women speak they tend to usually either be speaking idealistically or virtue signaling. But in reality women are extremely cut throat and don’t really give men they see below themselves a chance.

They’d rather date a guy who they see as way above themselves, even if they know he has other women already or is likely to cheat. They just deny it or lie to themselves. The world is already like this, and it’s going to become even more like this. When men get married or a girlfriend, it’s often shocking how many more women become interested in them.

Its not really much different than income inequality. Resources are not distributed equally, that’s not how nature works. In nature you see Pareto distributions where the top dogs get most resources and the masses fight for scraps.

If this was true, then in countries that are incredibly poor polygamy would be common, or in lower class citizens it would be common, but even there its not super common. Whats more common is single mothers or generational family homes

A woman would be better off being the third or fourth wife of a wealthy man than being some average dork’s one and only.

I don’t see any benefit monogamy provides to women unless the man in question is attractive enough to make that kind of commitment worth it (and the amount of men who cross that threshold is astoundingly low).
