What do you think the redpill offers these young men? Why do you think its so popular today, as it has never been before, ever since the beggining of the manosphere with PUA in the late 90s?

It’s an attempt for these men to equal things out in what is essentially an unequal market.

Do you think the redpill brings benefits to these young men? If not, why do you think they stick with it?

It probably works to attract some women out there. It gives guys more confidence, at any rate.

Do you think these mens lives are generally better or worse after discovering it?

For the ones who stick with it. I think that there are more positive and less misogynistic ways to improve one’s prospects with women, though. Too many men give up when they don’t get immediate results, though.

Do you think the redpill does more harm than good?

Unfortunately I think too many men use community Red Pill spaces to trash on women, so I think that it does overall more harm when it comes to gender relations.

Can men deal with their dating problems without the redpill?

Yes, they should improve themselves while respecting women.

I've met lots of women in my life, perhaps too many, so I have a sizable sample of experiences to contrast with redpill beliefs (they say are facts, I'm not 100% against it honestly).

I found TRP when I was looking on the internet, for the first time in my life, how to work on your relationship (my first long term relationship of 5 years with my ex-fiancee), you know, to improve things, "comunicate" better with your partner and all that.

When we met, it was all butterflies, like with any other girl I had met. We had a good relationship, we respected each other, we had a quite good sexual life, we were outgoing and fun, we made plans for the future, she was happy, I was happy...

I cannot put my finger in the exact moment when our relationship started to spiraling down, but the sex suddenly stoped, she started nagging me for everything, making fus over silly stuff that scaled into huge fights, and the relationship started to become a hell.

One day, after another failed atempt of me in hopes to get some physical contact, she told me I "disgusted her". She didn't had a headache, she didn't feel in "the mood", she didn't had to shower nor she was tired, she wasn't on her period like any other day of the month. She simply told me I disgusted her. I remember I just rolled back on the bed and I almost felt like I was going to cry. It was really sad and I felt really hurt.

It was not just the sex, the lack of physical touch, the loneliness, it was the feeling of being despised, discarded, dismissed. I felt unloved.

And it was unwarranted. I had done nothing but being the best man I could for her.

Looking back, that was what broke the camels back, but I decided to give it another try, because this was the first woman I had fallen in love with, and I was decided to make things work.

So I started to search for answers in the internet, and there were a lot of answers, kid you not.

I did everything.

I read books on "comunication", I did more housechores (my share and more, because I was doing my share already mind you) I did everything I could to make it sure when she came home she felt good and we could have time for us. I cooked for her (I'm quite a good cook actually) I planed dates for us, I was atentive and supportive.

I even started to work out more and do better diets. I had never let myself lose, but since I have really fast methabolics my weight had wored down a bit and I was less muscular (still visible abs and obliques, like the physique of a runner lets say). So I started lifting again and building muscle.

I'm 6.3' and I went from 185 lbs to 205 lbs and 7-8% bodyfat, I bought new clothes, I got a new hair cut, hell I started taking three showers a day...

I still disgusted her, mind you, but now I had to reject random women aproaching me on a daily basis, and I could have cheated on her but I'm not that kind of man and I mean, what's the point anyways? I could have cheated on her and I would still have the same problem at home the next day right?

So I focused all my energy and time on my relationship, and I tried to become better and better for her until there was no more room for improving than die and born a whole different, better man in a wealthier family.

This went for over a year and a half, in which we had intimate contact no more than 20 times. Once a month, twice if I was lucky.

I even developed some sort of guilt for being a sexual human being in that relationship, I felt I was wrong for wanting to have a fullfiling sexual life. That was the worst.

One day, looking for MORE solutions, I found some redpill-related shit in the internet.

There was no piece of knowdelege I hasn't figured out already in it.

Instead, there was written something I already knew: "she doesn't fuck you because she doesn't desire you, and you can't negotiate desire".

That was it. It was all I needed to hear. That was what I was thinking, but something that nobody, no man or woman, no internet article, no pool or psychologist, and not her, of course, could seem to tell me.

For ALL the rest of the world, I, and only I, was wrong. I was wrong for feeling rejected, I was entitled, I was the one doing, arguably, something wrong, or may be not doing enough. It was never her. It wasn't neither that she had lost the desire, or that she had fell out of love with me. I was ro blame, and I had to do something about it or just suck it up.

Now I was line "ok I'm in... Bring me more of this redpill stuff".

And that's how I started reading more and, honestly, all fell on it's place.

I could see, more or less, that all my previous relationships with the women I had met didn't work out at the end because I aproached the situation from a wrong starting point.

Some articles and experiences other men shared actually described 100% the situations I had been in, even the one I was currently in. I could RELATE to what they were saying, actually, I felt this was the solution.

Of course, there was some shitty advice in there too, things that seemed surreal or that added nothing to my life, but on average, I would say 80% of the content was spot on.

One day I suggested my ex-fiancee to take a break. She didn't want to, so then I suggested to open the relationship. A week after I had had sex with two women. Two weeks after I was having the sex life I was missing, with other women AND my ex-fiancee.

She had done a 180° flip and her libido had came back, almost suddenly, and we were fucking each other like rabbits.

It felt fake coming from her. It felt manipularive. And on my behalf, it felt borderline rappey, cohersive. She made me feel bad about myself, and what I was doing. But for the most part, she made me feel disgusted

I was diagusted by her now. By her and the relationship we had.

I broke our engagement 6 months or so after I started reading this redpill stuff.

And while I don't agree with a lot of redpill content and I don't consider myself a redpiller neither, I can say they are onto something.

The Red Pill DOES have a point. A good point, actually, a lot of men can relate to, that goes undiscussed in 99.9% of the internet and the mass media.

That's why TRP is so damn popular.

PS: yes, I'm single and happier now. I have the sexual life I want, I have it on my terms, I have a fullfiling life, I'm free, and I do what I want

Does it work out the same for all men? IDK, but I can tell you it worked for me.

I’ve said before: any game plan is better than no game plan. Is RP better than finding your own truth and self and groove? No. But is it better than just making a shitty OLD and swiping and failing say after day cause “I’m nice, what more do you want?!” Yup

But the biggest criticism is still: Most the dudes don’t actually do the shit is says to do and Just use it as an excuse to act all but hurt and pissed that they STILL aren’t getting Tinder matched.

I think Red Pill ideology is just making it worse for both men and women. Working on yourself and improving yourself, focusing on yourself is not a RP ideology, that’s a general concept that everyone agrees with. I get that some men need other men as inspiration/motivation too.

But the whole “pump and dump” and “hitting the wall” stuff is where it is getting pretty ridiculous and misogynistic. The pump and dump stuff and obsession with n-count just fuels the Madonna-whore complex. Plus the weird double standards. Men can cheat and have multiple women and high n-count? Wtf. And they can’t even justify why. Basic respect for women and even men (“beta males”) is just lacking greatly sometimes.

And then there is “the wall” they love to talk about while anyone ages, and most men do not age like fine wine, they get bald, wrinkles, etc. . On the flip side, many women who are in their 30/40 even 50ies looking better/getting more male attention than younger women. There are all these RP theories that in reality don’t make sense. Also it teaches to degrade women and makes wrong generalizations about women. I have seen bro podcasts saying “women you should do this and that”, but it’s never about trying to understand women.

If you are a man and you want to succeed better in dating, work on yourself and try to understand women and their point of view. If you just see women as “evil” and don’t have basic respect for them, idk you won’t succeed and truly be happy in life I think.

I think you have to remember that red pill is just basic social realities and gender dynamics that have been around forever. There’s nothing new or profound about it. So it appeals to and is designed for men who for whatever reason didn’t get the memo. That’s really what it offers.

Mostly because we’re more socially isolated that we’ve ever been in history, lots of young men are growing up without fathers and spending lots of the teen years inside and in devices and not out observe in the world and learning by observation and doing like men in previous generations did. You also can’t underestimate the sharp increase in ASD or the decline in overall physical (obesity) and mental issues that are making a lot of men struggle.

Sure, if they’re willing to apply the knowledge. Self help type movements tend to attract 20% people who have just enough self motivation to put advice to work and 80% of people who will never be self motivated and want to use it a crutch. The men who’ve been hanging around there for 10 years bitching about how women should change are not being helped but it’s their choice to not be helped.

And I know lots of people say RP can be helpful and do it without all the misogyny. Which is true, but honestly if there were no RP or no reddit for that matter, would these guys be any less misogynistic? Probably not. Kind of like Stormfront didn’t make those dipshits racist, they were racists looking for a place to be openly racist without consequence. The guys on TRP who are the most misogynistic are usually the ones who still in their heads can’t stop worship and pedestalizing women — all the shit talking is an act.

No data to give a definitive answer but common sense says it’s more about the individual than the advice. Once again advice requires that you act on it for it be effective.

Anger.

I'm not convinced many, if any ever make it past the 'Anger phase' these days and instead most graduate to Blackpill and inceldom while choking on the Red Pill. It leaned in heavily on all the perceived problems with women's sexual strategy and stopped holding men accountable for their own.

Red pill preached 80/20 as an opportunity to work yourself into that 20 and reap rewards of the highest power on the dating market (HVM). Not piss and moan you don't get that special treatment without lifting a finger.

I think the positives it offers are the self improvement messages which an unfortunate amount of men aren't getting.

I think the other issue with men has nothing to do with red pill per se, it is the antiquated laws in this country. As a very attractive middle aged man (41 m). I would tell any guy to not really date for marriage/commitment. It’s a huge risk.

I have means and money. I probably have more resources than most, and it was hard on me. My ex messed up the relationship, got the kids and a HUGE amount of child support. On top of that, my kids don’t want to live with her and feel abused.

Response from the state? There is nothing we can do.

So it’s not about the kids. It is solely about punishing men for women to exploit. I understand that’s not all women, but you really can’t be sure until she’s in that situation.

So that’s a part of it. I tell men now to just work on yourselves and date casually. And get the snip. Things are much better that way.

Red pill hurt my relationship. It brainwashed my boyfriend into thinking I'd leave him if I found another man who was a better "provider." I told him that wasn't true- I respected my boyfriend and loved him, and money wouldn't sway me. As long as he cared about the relationship and was good to me, I'd do the same.

As soon as he found out about my inheritance, he had a panic attack and broke up with me. He told me he had a friend who dated a "rich girl" and it ended poorly. I was blind sighted and pissed.

I'd rather date someone from the 21st century...

The red pill offer is clear instruction on how to improve your life and accomplish your goal while also offering clear understandable reasons why you are not succeeding. Whereas blue pill advice is extremely nuanced and admits that it’s very situational. Women’s advice is way too variable, complex, and confusing And on top of that they try to hard not to hurt your feelings, in an in person setting at least. Blue pill men and women also talk a lot about confidence but blue pill men don’t instruct you on how to get it or acknowledge how difficult it is to get for most men. While women don’t understand if you keep rejecting guys with good qualities but low confidence how are they going to get confidence. People want success now and the red pill messages that and it’s sales pitch.

Modern society treats men like crap. Family courts, the job market and what their role in relationships is supposed to be. Women must get equal pay, but the men are still expected to pay for everything. They must never falter on what they must bring to the relationship (provider and protector) or they are called deadbeats while women use sex and what they bring to the relationship as a weapon to control. They are now expected to do 50% of the domestic work inside the home while doing 100% of the work outside the home like lawn, home and auto maintenance. Of course they are still expected to be the primary bread winner of the home. They are told that masculinity is “toxic” but when they try and behave in less masculine and more feminine manner women no longer respect them or find them attractive. The redpill tells them that they don’t have to be doormats and let society use them and offer nothing in return. That it’s ok to be a man.

More harm than good but it’s no different than any toxic trend. One only thinks it’s overtaking society if they stay in echo chambers. Young boys are picking it up, the emotionally healthy ones will move on once it loses its cool factor and those seeking salvation may stay, depends.

Unfortunately at the end of the day dating is dating and has been for all of time. Some men and women don’t get to participate or if they do not to the level they want with the people they want, it’s just reality, bleak yes, but true nonetheless. to get better results self improvement including physically is the best way to go obviously that’s never not been the case, it’s not some super secret strategy that will guarantee results.

I think TRP isn't as uplifting as it says it is. While I agree with a lot in the idealogogy, it's not the best.

It says men are leaders, strong, insert traditionally masculine role here. Vice versa for women.

The bad about this is being a strong independent leader shouldn't be gender exclusive. So is being caring, nurturing and nice (traditionally feminine roles).

It says that you shouldn't embody positive femininity, because you'll be seen as weak. While it is true, you will be judged, it just sounds like it's encouraging it. Being positivly masculine and positivly feminine shouldn't be gender exclusive, and no it doesn't make you gay.

It also generalizes all women and paints it as truths, It embraces horrible double standards, and it's extremely judgemental.

I think it offers them community even if it is a very toxic community. It’s very similar to how many cults get followers. There are men who are struggling out their, whether it’s with dating or other aspects of life. The RedPill offers a simplified and false answer to their problems that will only hurt them in the long run.

No. Lets say someone average has a dating pool of 5% of female population, redpill will make you focus on the 95% you cant have instead of maximising gaind in the 5% you can access.

Not exactly blupilled, but the absolute best thing it offers is the encouragement to hit the gym. I think it’s really important for everyone, but young men especially to go do something hard, prove to themselves they can do it, and then find that they’re better for it.

Jordan Peterson’s theory about why young men flock to his lectures is that no one has ever told them to take responsibility for something before and that young men might need to hear that message more than young women, for many reasons.

Red pill vs blue pill is clearly better, but if we deep to the origin the red pill is not really a prescriptino but only a description, but many red pillers have also prescription and the quality of those vary.

I personaly like MGTOW better (and I don't talk abotu monks), because it emphasises the warning against marriage more there is less Tradcon ideology in where they say be a man and run into the divorce knife...

And they also have the theory of self improvement they just don't say "in the end you should do all this still for pussy" it's more a maybe nice side effect but not the goal, which I find a better message, and the idea that you should not have a oneities etc.

Red Pill often mix so much with christianity, another disadvantage, because as example europe is way less religious at least big parts of europe than the US, but it pretends to be not bible study class :D so it's a bit false advertisement (partially).

1) I think it has become more popular since the 90 because the world has grown more self-conscious and thus women began to fight back against the common misogyny… it all comes down to be better connected through the internet (safe spaces yada yada yada)

I do think the redpill gives an quick and easy answer to insecure men, but not a real benefit to their life in the long run, I would compare it to an addiction (example: drinking 25 beers a day makes you feel like shit and an alcoholic but from the beer-to beer perspektive it feels good) This is why all the grifters like Tate have to keep you feel hateful against women, this will keep the cycle up and their pockets full.

Men definitely live worse lives, and their lives continue to get worse, except for the couple one that get rich from selling PU-courses

I really feel like it’s an addiction with this redpill stuff, at first you have some soft entrance, like debunking shit and then you get recommendations for JP or sneako and stuff and suddenly you are watching some really heavy shit… it’s really funny how YouTube does this.

So speaking from personal experience: just log off, find a hobby, persu a career and if you have your own home and a hobby you are passionate about, you will find people who share in your interests … and no, herassing women in the street or online bullying are not a hobby.

Also protip: if you really want to know what women want … ask them or lurk their subreddits, you would surprised how much of the redpill stuff is pure bullshit.
